If you wanted too see a microcosm of the utter shitness and selfishness of some Perth drivers you needed to be at the Belvoir Amphitheater after the Kooks gig last night. 2000 cars + farm paddock + no traffic controllers + only 3 exits. 2 extremes, most happy to wait and merge and others just doing their own thing overtaking 40 cars and being expected to be let in. Crazy

For somewhere in a rather central location and a history of events with large patronage, Challenge Stadium sucks donkey balls too. Took a good 45 minutes to get out of there when I saw FOTC and there only would have been a couple thousand people too. Belvoir is definitely a campaigner though but mitigated by it being such a good venue, unlike CS.

Oh and I think the fact it's taken 80 pages for some WC/Freo niggle to flair up is pretty amazing.l

Yep challenge stadium is a campaigner to get out of (unless you know to park out the back at mcgilvray).

Went to a gig at Red Hill amphitheatre not long ago and getting out was a mess, which was made worse by the fact it was pouring with rain during the gig and I just wanted to get home :p

Other than the parking, RHA was actually quite an awesome venue, more bands should play there during the summer so I don't have to go to capitol or metropolis for gigs

I wanted to see London Grammar at Red Hill which is coming up in March but it's on a Thursday night, so the thought of having to drive all the way there from work and then spending an entire lifetime trying to get out afterwards has deterred me from going.

Can you show Transperth a valid ticket from the time and night you copped your fine and get off that way? I've found one in my pocket so I obviously had it all along and was too pissed to dig it out....

However I've just seen that the guy spelt my surname wrong and with the address not being correct...

Probably not, one of your paying mates could have just given it to you so you can get off.

I don't know if that would get you off but you are able to challenge a fine.

This is what annoys me about transperth

Whilst they're a good for everyday public transport, some of their special event services leave something to be desired

You can try.

This is going back probably 5 years or so but I got a fine for not having a ticket even though I did buy one I just couldn't locate it my bag at the time.

Spoke to transperth and gave me a form to fill out and state my case. I just said that the transit guard did not believe me and did not give me adequate time to search for my ticket and attached a copy of the ticket.

About a month later I got a letter saying that the fine had been cancelled and sorry for yout trouble.

57 million dollar redevelopment of Scarborough beach. To me it's fine the way it is. How about they spend it redeveloping Stock rd from Fremantle to Rockingham instead. A roadway they hasn't change since the 1950s.

For a state that's tightening its belt because we are broke and increasing the cost of anything it can, it seems bizarre to me that we would waste this sort of money but then I think the Elizabeth quay is a waste of perfectly good money

Elizabeth Quay is good. Can't complain about shit like that.

God damn freeways though. This town is so obsessed with cars and sprawling... it's like LA with more fake **** per capita and less talent.

What do you think it brings

I actually don't think Scarborough is that nice to be honest. So many old buildings and it has a real bogan feel to it. You have Sorrento and Hillarys with the marina which is nice and then City Beach which is very nice and Scarborough in the middle just lacks something fresh and modern. Definitely worth re-developing.

Presumably the City of Stirling aren't interested in spending their money on Stock Road between Fremantle and Rockingam?

Scabs is a hole, desperately needs some rejuvenation

Says a lot when Rocko foreshore is better than it
