Haha we do - the last few times I've had it, hasn't been that great. Maybe it depends on the restaurant - probably had it 3-4 times in the last 5 years from 3 different stores and hasn't really impressed me. I usually prefer going to smaller/independent stores these days if I want chicken.

Yeah, never tried Oportos either - they're in the Portuguese style chicken market so I normally grab Nandos if I want something with a bit of flavour.

Agreed - the 'Rooster Roll' is terrible. Had it a few times in the past hoping/expecting it to be better but always ends up disappointing.

Chicken Twists used to be my thing at CT - it just doesn't seem right that they are now few and far between. Haven't even bothered trying Orporto's will just stick to Nando's or Little Lebananon

I worked at CT for 3 years. Was horrible. But i was 15 at the time i started so it was money! Only like the chicken from CT, and the twists. The rest is garbage. The chips have gone down hill substantially.

Orportos is pretty meh. Its in the joondalup SC food court now and isn't that good.

It's obviously an important part of people's lives, Stronzo!
Am I alone in being one who never buys takeaway chicken from Chicken Treat or Red Rooster?
I have in the past- >10 years ago- but now prefer to just grab a whole roast chicken from IGA

Though the main difference would be because I was never acquainted with these already dead roast chickens.

As much as they annoy me, my roosters are mine- with their loud 5am crowing, their sneak karate attacks on my legs and ankles and eating me out of house and home- they're mine.

Still haven't found anyone who wants one

I remember quite vividly my grandmother preparing a chicken for dinner. I have never recovered from seeing a chicken first off running around without a head and then hanging from a clothesline.

It took me many years to realise that same chicken was on my plate later that night. Don't even get me started on pigs and sausage making

They used to be cute- until I left my daughter in charge and went on holiday. They went all alpha on her and she was terrified of them. Then I came home and they started on me. That was a few years ago now but they still do sneak attacks.
