Just heard that German place in East Perth and the Zapfhall place cant do the traditional 1 litre jugs because of liquor licensing laws.

God these lawmakers are fogeys of the highest order here.

Wait what German place in East Perth? How have I missed this?

A guy that is an employee of that Brotzeit place was quite precious to criticism over their beer prices on a facebook page. I suspect he's copped a lot of flak over their pricing. The argument is that rent and costs of setting up have been a major problem, which I can understand. I kinda feel sorry for him for having such a thin skin and having to encounter problems, but I guess when prices are that high you are always gong to attract outrage. The liquor licensing laws are pretty fascist over here and you'd have to think they play a role in the expensiveness of places along with rent etc too.

TBH Perth, like Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne is a polarising city, but for different reasons than say Sydney. If you are young and/or single, not interested in family and mortgages, you're better off doing a stint overseas or interstate. If you are ready to settle with a family than there isn't much wrong with Perth.

I'm considering doing a cheap SE Asian holiday for a milestone birthday coming up. Just need an environment where I can party and drink the way I want without paying through the nose and encountering a police state mentality.

No idea mate but looks are getting more and more ridiculous every year.
have they started pulling their pants up yet? Funny how, as soon as their mummies stopped pulling them up for them, their pants dropped lower and lower... and lower....
It's like they've never bothered to change their dirty nappy! ;)

Happy St Patricks Day to all you Perthites!!

This post probably belongs in the "I'm too old for this shit" thread

Spotted three teenage kids dressed as typical 'lads' (runners, sports shorts, jumpers, white hats, you know the look) but all 3 of them had this bit of hair sticking out from under their hats down towards their jawline. Aside from looking ridiculous, since when was this a 'thing'?

Since about 2 years ago. A heap of my 15 year old sons mates have the style.

Just took the dog for walk in the park. Dark clouds and cool air. It's almost like a winters day.

Thank #### the hot weather is all but over. I've had enough of summer and blazing sunlight.

Got the day off for a few green ales down the local tavern for St Paddys day.

Is it a 'lad' thing or what?

It's mainly a footy thing I think. My boy is in a footy program at school and all the footy boys try and out do each with the coolest hair cut.

But I saw the first super long fringe two seasons ago worn by the best player in the district. Others soon followed.

Speaking of the Simpsons.. Kinda reminds me of this guy...

I think so. It has been a while since I have seen kids with their pants halfway down their arse.

Ah the days at high school. Year 11s getting up off their seats in the classroom then dragging their pants down so that half their boxers were showing.

Also wore the child shopping trolley seatbelts as belts sticking out of their pockets that they happily stole from Coles.

enjoy your day!
Yeah, after the humidity of the recent couple of months (was it worse than usual or am I just getting older and less tolerant?), it makes a beautiful change.

You know, you can just type the word "****" and the swear filter will change it to *'s for you.

Trains on the northern line have stopped running thanks to a power failure

So I get to stand around waiting at Warwick station for **** knows how long

Lucky you have your phone, hey? What would you have done in the "olden days"?
Hope they're running again soon- no buses to replace them or is it just expected to be a short term thing?
