Poor layout. Parking sucked especially on Saturday mornings

Why so precious about it little petal?

Sorry mate, couldn't give a tinkers about the place really, thought you might have been referring to the clientèle rather than the issues you brought up, so my bad. Dealing with too many mouth breathers on a daily basis has turned me irrationally anti-bogan.

Actually, 'Booka is sort of my local, two of my kids have worked there and one's working there today. Grew up close to Karrinyup however, went to high school in Scarbs, lots of hanging around Karrinyup shops, tavern and TAB (apropos of nothing).

Fair call.

Tbh if you blindfolded me and dropped me in a shopping centre at random i'm not certain I could tell where i was just by looking at the people

What is/was the Maccas giraffe and what happened to it? I can't remember it- but then I am well known for having a crap memory.

The giraffe that was in front of the garden city Maccas.

Allegedly it got stolen by Applecross students.

I didn't often go in the food court- am trying to picture the giraffe but am thinking my mind is just making it up from what you're telling me.
What a shame about it getting nicked- some kid's probably got it in their room at home and his/her parents haven't noticed it in amongst all the other stolen junk. :(

My hubby's mate nicked a garden gnome from someone's front yard while on holiday in Esperance many many years ago- he thought it was funny to send postcards from all over the place and sign them from the garden gnome.
I'd be pissed off if it was my garden gnome- maybe I just don't have a very good sense of humour when it comes to stealing stuff. :( Fair enough - it's funny if you intend to return it one day.

Nah.

It was a bloody big giraffe.

Last I checked (round december) it was dumped and broken next to the JP's Office

A group of us from Uni once went on a gnome kidnapping spree through Nedlands and lined them all up on the Stirling Highway median strip.

Alcohol is a hell of a drug.

Hmmm- perhaps I know people that you know :)
And perhaps you used to see me every morning or afternoon at the shops, getting my coffee fix :)

I would not surprised. I am from the class of 99. One of my good friends was from class of 97 and we didn't even know that we went to the same school.

I lived in Leeming from 94-96 (*ish) and have pretty much shopped at IGA/Farmer Jacks since then. I much prefer to go there than Garden City or Gateways- because it's so much quieter- and only really go to the big centres if I need to buy presents, etc. That's the only thing missing from Leeming Forum- but there used to be a gift shop years ago.
LSHS is an enormous school- I'm not surprised that you didn't know your friend when you both attended ;) It would be hard to know all of your own year group, let alone students from the years above or below you- unless maybe you had siblings in one of those years.

I moved back here permanently from Malaysia in 95, so most likely I would of just missed you. We were both geeks and the only interactions I had with those 2 years older than me was trying to dodge fruits that they throw at us :(
