That's pitiful - I cannot stand competitions that involve humiliation of someone.

You watch football and support the most dominant side of the past two years.:p:drunk::drunk::drunk:

So do they get the spoon or what?

Thought it was a bit harsh but then again I haven't really been across it all.

Not really. If anything we got off lightly.

So do they get the spoon or what?

Nope. Points will be amended at the end of the season so we finish 7th which is 1 spot outside of the finals.

Godammit to hell.
I wish there was a way to punish the dumbass administation without punishing the fans and players as well.
Yes, those poor players, having to cope with all those under-the-table extra payments.

Firstly, it was only 5 or 6 players. Secondly, the players are not to blame for the club not disclosing a bunch of extra payments including accomodation, rental car, player agent fees etc.

They've played a damn good season and are sitting equal first at the moment so, yes, those poor players.

Do you know how much all of your workmates are earning?

When a player is paid their salary and entitlements, I would think it's reasonable for the player to assume everything is above board and that it is properly documented and within the salary cap rules. It is the management's responsibility to ensure all payments are legitimate and within the rules, not the player.

Of course. And there's never anything sus about payments to family members etc.

Where do you work? Do you blame the Melbourne Storm players as well in that whole scandal a few years ago? Or more relevantly, the Carlton players in the early 2000s?

And that is just Andy Keogh's wife. As far as I know the other players were given allowances for accommodation etc - allowances that are quite reasonably assumed to be above board by the player concerned. These allowances and entitlements are fairly common.

Couldn't be less interested in the Melbourne Storm. Not particularly interested in the Glory either, but since they're in Perth I've seen the recent news developing. At least being out of the finals means they can't choke it again.

As far as Carlton goes, yes, I believe the players involved fully knew dodgy stuff was going on.

I did figure it would have something to do with Keogh but I assumed that would be agent payments or car and accommodation payments. The family payments I assumed would maybe have been Nebo to get his family to move here.

I have only read what is in the news but the punishment appears fair enough for deliberate salary cap breaches as it is worded.

Perth have been a bit of a basket case in the A-League era and have just started to turn things around so this is going to do a lot of damage.
