1. Don't introduce measures that directly take more money from me.
2. Don't introduce measures that waste money on utter shit.

There are other areas of government spending you could have picked on, like the obscene amounts of money Colin is syphoning off to his Liberal mates in the civil construction industry for instance.

Freeway is never ending roadworks

Almost got swallowed by a 4WD last night coming home between the Roe Hwy on ramp and the Berrigan Dr offramp. We were travelling at about 60kph around 6.30pm and the bloke in front of me (in a 4WD) puts his brakes on, so I put mine on but they didn't seem to be working cos I just seemed to be getting closer and closer very quickly! So I pressed harder and harder and almost shoved my foot through the floor as I slammed down even harder! I heard a huge bang that sounded like my front end falling off my car and I gave a huge sigh of relief when I realised that I'd pulled up mere inches from this bloke's back end and hadn't hit him. Almost shit myself.... and thought I'd stuffed my car by hitting the brakes so hard..
Next minute I see the bloke put his hazard lights on- he'd rear-ended the car in front of him and I'd almost made him the meat in the sandwich! That's what the big bang was.

Not sure how it happened- my daughter, who was in the front passenger seat, said she thought it looked like the lady driving the car in front of the 4WD had cut him off. My vision was blocked by his vehicle, so I had no idea whether that's what had happened but noticed (as I drove past them) that her indicator was turned on, so that was possibly the issue.

Accidents here are really common- hopefully, once the freeway widening is finished and (even better) the Roe Hwy is extended, traffic will flow a lot better.

People - give Mark McGowan a chance. Hasn't done much wrong in opposition but the myth of Colin Barnett is still persisting.

Seems to be the fad these days- all the states are doing it. Goodness knows what will happen when the governments decide they want stuff back. Guess they can just legislate and have it back in their grubby little paws within a few days

This is the worst kind of reasoning in two-party politics. Giving people a chance is not a good way to choose the next government. Someone doing a decent job in opposition suggests next to nothing about what they'll be like in government.

Unless you live in Cottosloe, no-one re-elected him, because they couldn't vote for him.

The reason the Liberals got re-elected was because they were doing a good job, and nothing Labor offered seemed better. Pretty simple.

Yeah, some bloke climbed up a crane- was there for a few hours (was there since 3am or something). My son said apparently he threatened to jump off - or so he was told by Perth News. He walked past a couple of times at 7am, again during lunch (road was blocked by then) and then later in the afternoon.

There seems to be a high level of dissatisfaction with both parties whenever they get into government.
