I would put on 5kg just looking at that combination

Can't remember the last time I had a donut - absolutely love them hot and coated in cinnamon sugar

Do you know what else I like hot and coated in cinnamon sugar?:cool::cool:

Churros.

I used to buy warm jam-filled doughnuts from the Vic Markets when I was a student at Melb Uni. Used to walk past there 5 days a week and buy doughnuts, cream puffs, cakes, etc. every day. I walked for a good hour to and from Uni each day, so didn't put weight on but picked up some terrible habits, which are now giving me a whack at my advanced age. :(
I remember one of my lecturers spotted I had spilt icing sugar on my face and down my jumper. If I was ever late, he used to tease me about stopping off for a snack :(

Are they what we used to call 'Spanish Doughnuts'?

I believe so, then companies change the name to something more exotic and make you pay an extra 20% for it.

In all seriousness they're great but I don't go out of my way for them.

Sanchurro's here is very popular with teenagers. Like CouchPotato , my body would be suffering if I went there. half of the problem is having the chocolate or caramel sauce to dip them in..

Went to San Churros in Northbridge the other night in the early evening, loads of school kids and families. Not a huge fan of churros myself, but anything that imbues a more family-orientated atmosphere before late evening at Northbridge is a positive in my view.

Don't know who you tagged there but it certainly wasn't me :p
I love desserts but trying to cut back on sugar atm - it's a struggle that's for sure. There was a time when I could eat whatever I liked - three kids, middle age and a stuffed back later the body is definitely telling me no

oopsie!

Thanks for the heads up, CP. I'll redo it. Didn't even notice there was a difference- just quickly typed your name (what I thought was your name :(), posted, then zipped out to make spag bol.

Sounds like you and I have similar problems- mine is 5 kids, though. I still eat what I like but the middle age spread threatens every day :(

The Little Concept in Freo is a good independent alterative for hot chocolates to Sanchurros.

Sanchurros isn't a bad place anyway, I enjoy their chilli hot chocolates, although not quite as good as TLC.

Burswood was the right choice, and we won't know whether the Quay is worth it until well after it's all finished.

I agree RE: Burswood, if it's done right and corners aren't cut. If it's a half-arsed job it could be a lemon.

Elizabeth Kway I think will end up being good for the city, but I don't think it is commercially justifiable. I'm glad it's one of a few projects that have started over the last couple of years. If we had EQ but not Fiona Stanley Hospital or Forrest Highway or whatever then I think the govt would be under more scrutiny.

As far as Emperor Barnett goes, IMO the best thing he has done is act like a dictator. He's a smarmy git and I don't reckon I'd like to have a beer with him, but the shops are open on the weekend and until 9pm during the week for example because he decided 'I want them to be, bugger referendums and polls - I'll just do it'. Goes against democratic principles, but this is WA where we send ****ing anything to referendum and end up voting to maintain the status quo. The world hasn't ended, and sadly it takes someone making decisions people don't like for anything to get done in this state.

Was a pain for the footy but luckily it only cut out during the breaks.

:D Had to switch to 7 at one stage when the doggies drew level - house went into melt down as we didn't get to see the kick on goal

Im watchin recorded movies because of it....Not that there is much on Fox tonight anyway:D

If it wasn't for the footy I would love to get rid of it - there seems to be a decided lack of stuff to watch these days
