Pretty sure BBC Hardware were the ones with three giant coloured balls on sticks on the roof of each store, which from memory O'Connor has.
Yep. You'd be right then.

I rarely go to SCA but popped down one day to pick up something without even realising it had burned down. They've built a new one next door now, but it's SCA so it still sells shit.
Had no idea they'd rebuilt it. Keep wondering what they plan to do with the vacant land. I started going to the O'Connor one when it burned down and never looked back. That whole area is a nightmare on weekends. I haven't had any complaints about the stuff I've bought there.

I'm old school, I remember before SCA came to town and we had Marlows. They had a better range of quality auto parts. SCA has a lot of cheap and nasty stuff.

Something is going up on the opposite corner of Leach/North Lake also. There has been vacant land there for donkey's years which was used a private sellers car yard each weekend. I think it's going to be some sort of health facility.

Yeah it's aged care. Owned by the same mob a bit further up the road.

Would be quite nervy as an investor starting a business there - will they come and if they do will they stay

Perth people are quite perculiar like that IMO
The Brookfield Place development has been a pretty big success.

I'd also imagine with regard to office space that the area with have significant prestige.

Real mini pub crawl - it's only 11.45 and your home posting
Age catching you Keyser
Age caught me a long long time ago CP

As it turned out my timing was impeccable getting home. Only waited two minutes for a train and a bus was there ready to go when I got off the train which happened to be the last one for the night

Looking at moving to Perth with the company I work for around Xmas time. Should be a good change.
Any tip/suggestions? Was looking into Subiaco at this stage.

I have to admit I walked inside and observed the service to see if it was worth it, and they have this practice of only one person behind the counter who serves a customer and then goes away to prepare that order in its entirety before serving the next.

As this was Livingston the only other decent options were Subway and Oporto so I went to the latter in the end, where there was no queue, but the extra $3 for average saucy piri piri chicken was worth avoiding KFC when in the mood for poultry.

Depends what you are after.

I went into the new Krispy Kreme store tonight about 6ish as I had to pick something up from Bunnings. They have a marquee thing set up and had cordoned off half the carpark to have an extended drive through queue, complete with people in high vis directing traffic. The **** has Perth come to?

I walked in (about 20 or 30 metres from where I had parked, not exactly a trek) and bought a doughnut, then walked back to my car. Meanwhile a good dozen or so cars sat there idle. Just like the last time I had a Krispy Kreme doughnut it was pretty underwhelming. For $8 you can get a milkshake and two doughnuts. Diabetes come on down.

Well the majority of people going to KK aren't going to be the walking type
