Was reading that the perp did exactly the same thing at Kings Park in 2012- held his dad as the hostage - and it ended the same way. He's been on the run from a psych hospital for the past year.

I don't ever recall reading that he had actually escaped. Now the finger pointing will begin as to who is at fault

I'm sure there'd be a few who escape that we don't hear about. If you look, there might've been a couple of lines written, about his escape at the time- on page 34 of The West.

TBH haven't read a single thing about this drama and I never buy a hard copy of the West. It's a relief though that the hostage has come through this unscathed apart from maybe hypothermia.

TBH haven't read a single thing about this drama and I never buy a hard copy of the West. It's a relief though that the hostage has come through this unscathed apart from maybe hypothermia.

I just googled "Bunbury siege" a few times last night and came up with pages of reports on the story. When I did it again this morning, a bit of history had been added to one if the stories.
The West is only good for the crosswords and Sudoku- oh, and the comic strips aren't bad.
Hubby likes to keep up with the business news, though, so I buy it for him, except when he's not home.

The new round-a-bout at the North Lake Road and Bibra Drive intersection is great. The traffic flows a lot better through there now and you don't have to wait ages to pull out onto North Lake Road.

It also works really well going south. We don't seem to crawl slowly as often, nor do we need to stop to let out all the people turning in or out of Bibra Dr. It's a win win, as far as I can see!

Even better is the lights on Beelair Dr and Hammond Rd where they have reallinged it, you can get across there now!
