No but I hate the heat. Mind you being a fat campaigner doesn't help.
Being in Aubin Grove wouldn't help. New suburbs are so shit with their clear everything mentality. Love still having large old trees around where I am and shady areas to stroll around.

Most suburbs were built this way, its just that anything built in the last 5-10 years hasnt had time for the big trees to grow

For the last 20 years yes. Take for example went for a walk on the way to the shops this evening. Massive paperbark that is probably at least 5 meters around the base. They just clear fell everything then make a shit sculptured park in new areas with no shade, and no actual space to kick a footy either. Comes down to the massive greed of cramming everything in as tight as they can.

People who like summer over here are dickhead banker types who sit in a office in a/c all day. Its usually too hot, the sun will kill you and failing that the flys will. Also there is no football left. Just crap.

Agree, Perth autumns are where it's at.

< Is not a dickhead banker type.

I believe only half of this statement to be true. Dickhead bankers is an oddly specific demographic I'll agree but generally speaking those people predominantly work indoors. Then again I'm the sort of person who tans different shades of red. Know people who go outside for about 30 mins and will come back with a light tan. **** those people.

Ironically poms in Perth prefer summer more than anyone else. Why they move to a city so hot after living somewhere so cold is beyond me, but going red as Gazza Gascoigne and drinking pints in 37 degree weather at Glory games is their domain.

I'm not denying that's probably a demographic but Summer has been my favourite season for as long as I can remember. I just happen to work indoors atm too.

Poms only move to Australia so they can constantly complain about the place.

First customer, Van_Dyke.
Or do you mean we should count DURING and AFTER the hot weather today?
During the day. I'm expecting a fair few complaints.

Could be worse- you could work up at Marble Bar. :D My poor son started work last summer (started in December) up at Abydos- temps were 47, 47, 47, for the first few days. Don't think it got much under 40 all month. :(

Rough. Reminds me of a time, living in Karratha were it was 46/48 or so. Tough times (May have only been 3).

Or be union bosses, or join the protesters complaining about something.

D'ja hear those union thugs in Melb talking about having train strikes on Grand Final Day, during Spring Carnival, etc?

How DARE they? Those days are sacrosanct! They've gotta be Poms!

I loved the hot temps when I worked in the Goldfields- am way too old to enjoy the heat these days, though. :( I think you're a bit more capable of handling the heat when you're 3- you probably didn't notice it much. Your poor parents, though. :(

I actually don't mind the heat that much but obviously high 40's is kinda crazy. The AC use on those days would be ridiculous.
