We don't need it.

The time zones are set in the middle of each state. Perth is West of the Western time zone so in effect already has some form of daylight savings, compared with Sydney and Melbourne which are east of their time zone.

People really need to grasp this concept, and also remember how stinking hot it was at 8:30pm when we had the trial 10 years ago.

They wont but. The w***ers who work around the stock exchange etc that opens to EDST while continue to push their barrow for it so they don't have to get up earlier.

But you are spot on, lots of sunlight either side of midday that you dont need to skew it more.

It gets dark here earlier than it does over east without daylight savings. The main issue is the heat stays later in the day here.

Id love another 3 year trial then i can move to Melbourne when it finishes
