I say build the wave park. It'll be funny when people turn up & use it for the first couple of weeks in summer, realise that the beach is better and their money is better spent on crack, and then it closes down within 2 years... just like most other wave parks in Australia. They're horrible to swim in.

I think he is thinking of the one at Cottesloe. I don't know if it's still there but I remember it in the 80's. Not deep enough to properly swim in, more a kids muck around thing.

I did a tour of the Colosseum in Rome and they take you down underneath the stadium where they had these tunnels and rooms where the Romans would keep lions, tigers and leopards. Then when the gladiators were fighting they would winch the animals up into the arena where they would cut loose.

Would've been pretty awesome to watch it live.
