Re-reading my post it was quite confusing

i think uber needs to display the estimated fare without a prompt being required. Showing the formula only is quite deceptive and tbh misleading. They can charge whatever they like but at least have it very clearly displayed during peak times

There is the "fare estimate" option before you book it to see how much it costs which includes surge prices. These people didnt use it and just booked it assuming cheaper costs.

Personally I never use Uber without getting an estimated fare first to know how much I will be paying.

Where or what is Kiara?
Girl from my old school. Often wore see through leggings with only a g-string underneath. Reportedly a shit root though.

Better than those good old days when the price could of changed on ya while you were pumping.
tell me about it - since I moved to the gold coast the number one thing I miss about perth is fuelwatch - so many times I have driven past a petrol station since i have lived here (and its been on other side of the road and I thought id get fuel when I return back the other way in an hour or so), and then I do that and the price has gone up 10 cents or so - just didn't have to think about that kind of rort when living in perth... other rorts (eg price of coffee, meals etc) have reduced however...
fuelwatch really needs to be national......

Another fire in Waroona tonight. Last year (Jan. 30) we had that fire that destroyed a few houses in the western part of town. This fire started in Lane Poole Reserve west of the town last night/this morning by lightning and now it's racing into town (the southern edge). It's very close to the Alcoa plant.

Warning for Preston Beach area now - not sounding good at all

My nephew and his family was meant to come back from dunsborough today but he said that the smoke is just far too thick even if they were to go via Albany highway. Couple of kids,39 deg, a bush fire and a 3.5hr road trip make you reassess the urgency of coming home

new fire on eastern end of waroona where it was last year. blowing a hurricane. ******* apocolypse

It sounds horrendous
Firies would be exhausted - just doesn't seem to be an end to it in sight

That was weird. Looked fire was coming straight at us & wind was blowing towards town but fire went north instead & now appears extinguished & red glow gone. Very smoky & a little ash

Southbound just been cancelled.

I hope accomodation suppliers do the right thing and refund the money

While it's not the number one issue by a country mile but it's going to be interesting hearing stories about ruined holidays etc. People stuck in places like Dunsborough and Busso may not be able afford to pay for more accommodation and people travelling down are going to be out of pocket as well. How many people take insurance out when holiday img locally?
