Off topic but you gotta love those 80's multiracial LA gangs.

Hot dog = product, sausage sizzle = event.

imo
I can accept that, but hot dogs can only be classified as that with a bun and as the product only. Sausage sizzle can be whatever type of bread+sausage and as an event etc. Can't go wrong.

Who the f*** says 'sausage sandwich'?

Fair points Van_Dyke. If it's merely bread+sausage, I just call them sausages at this point.

Maybe two is enough, that's what they'll say...
It's quite clear when you see the instant replay..
With a honey in the middle, there's some leeway..

Cant read sausage sandwich in my head without a thick sean connery accent. Think its from an old celebrity jeopardy episode on SNL.

Bunnings Sausage Sandwich.

For mine a sandwich has 2 slices of bread, so it's not a sandwich.

It's the same way you don't call baked beans on toast a baked bean sandwich.

i miss the fat beef sausages that you had to slice in half to put in your bread roll

Ok. Thanks. Good to know that's the one thing that ground your gears about my post.

I actually started typing 'hotdog' and then changed my mind because I figured 'hotdog' was too American. It seems you're right and I should've typed 'sausage in bread'.

EDIT: On second thoughts, sausage sizzle is an acceptable term for 'a barbecued sausage, served in a single slice of bread', especially in WA, so **** it, I stand by sausage sizzle.

The picture - i have never ever heard someone say "sausage in bread" and I have travelled/lived in most of the red parts

Probably already been discuss but has anyone been to Elizabeth Quay? Is it worth the risk of getting stabbed on a bus to have a look yet?

I think it's even worth getting glassed on the way there.
