Went 3-4 weeks ago.

Pleasant enough setting but Pad Thai at $33.00 gives you an idea of where it is coming from.

Very good food but I have had just as good in Pattaya and Bangkok side streets for a fraction of that cost.

I realise that is a unfair comparison but David Thompson is always braying about the
quality and value of Thai street food.

His Singapore restaurant is also a little exxie from what I understand.

Give it a go though.

Have a few at the Petition Bar beforehand.

There is a cocktail bar around the corner too.

I just looked up Alkimos on Google Maps. Alkimos to Perth CBD is 43.7km.

43.7 km / 25 min = 104.88 km/h. Good luck with that.

Sizzler is still open in Riverton and Kelmscott. No idea about Morley or Innaloo, though. Can't see why not, society's only getting fatter.

That's why I was surprised the Beldon closed, when I went past which I admint wasn't often but it was always packed in there.

So does any ****ing campaigner in this town understand the principle of traffic management?

These road works on Nicholson Road right, they closed of a 3km stretch of road in both directions between Rowley Rd and Armadale Rd so they could do some road works. Re-directed all traffic onto some minor side road. At Nicholson and Armadale there's a set of traffic lights to regulate the flow of traffic, which is always heavy during peak hour. But diverted onto the side road it rejoins Armadale at a T-junction. Being a busy main road, there's a long wait for a gap to turn back on the Armadale. By the time I got there and joined the back of the queue it was literally half a mile long. took me half an hour to get to the front of the queue.

Worst part, there was a highway patrol cop car (with the floro orange and yellow colour scheme) going up and down the long line of cars. FOR ****ING WHAT??? We were all in first gear doing the stop - move forward one car length - stop again type of dance, nobody had the ****ing chance to speed. Why couldn't they get out of their ****ing patrol car and start directing traffic. Useless campaigners.

Tony Romas has the best buffalo wings hands down. DeCribs ( restaurant the poster above me is talking about) does decent wings too.

Varsity bar (Nedlands or Northbridge) and Brooklyn Bar in Claremont also go pretty well.

+2. Couldnt see myself ordering anything other than the ribs there but will defn consider the wings. Havent seen them on the menu before, mind you last time i went crows were demolishing essendon on a friday night first week of finals. ( hird stabbed matthew knights in the back in the coming weeks and the rest is history )

The wings are an entree, wings for entree, ribs for main and you're on to a winner.

The cookie skillet dessert is also incredible.
