Not sure why the big deal about a few days of hot weather. These 'heat waves' only happen once or twice every summer. Most people have AC, pools or access to the beach anyway. Think you'll all live. The north of the state gets this stuff all the time.
As someone with a pool, ac, and 200m from beach. Agree

It's a great time to be stuck at home because you've chucked in your job after 13 years . What a hardship ,sitting at home with the aircon blasting. Come at me heatwave:D

Have to work 10 hour days in the heat with no AC. The heatwaves can GAGF

I have friends who do not have ac nor have a pool, and I feel for them.

Feel for labourers and tradies, 10 hours in much worse conditions for them than any office worker can dream about.

I always wonder if they have increased rates of skin cancer as opposed to the rest of the population?

Bit of a random question here that maybe someone from the much older generations might know.. Kalgoorlie's John Forrest pool was the the very first 'Olympic' sized swimming pool built in WA in 1938. Beatty Park was built around 1962 for the Commonwealth Games, was this the 2nd full sized one in the state or was there anything else built in between that time that is older?

I'm one of the no aircon no pool people. Not one house that I've lived in in Perth has had it though so I'm kind of used to it anyway. Yeah I don't know how the tradies do it though.

I bought one of those portable aircon units for the bedroom, the ones that you need to vent the hot air out the window. Noisy as Alfolk, but best $500 I ever spent.
My dad's got one of them set up in his shed, and considering the size he's trying to cool in relation to the size of the AC, it doesn't do a bad job.

Tradies are melanoma factories.

And re aircon, small splits are cheap as dirt these days. If my house didn't have one I'd chuck a small one in the lounge or bedroom and shelter there.

Get out of it for under 2k installed.

I put full ducted in this house. Arm and a leg to install and run (solar helps a bit) but its glorious
