Mandurah forum is the biggest feral infested shithole shopping centre in perth. Maybe in all of Australia.

Was in there with a mate once and there were these 2 white wannabe gangsta rappers, one of them had the most ridiculous walk/limp like he was faking that he had an injury from being previously shot in a gang fight or something. Then they noticed we were laughing at them at them and started swearing their heads off and threatening us as they were walking out.

They certainly are a different breed down ole Mandurah.

I have a family member who works in a shop there. Female shoplifters at every turn. It's part of their daily routine to wander down and pinch sonething while grabbing a carton of smokes from Woolies.

There is a big difference in culture between mainland Chinese and Malay-Chinese. The pressures and sheer population generally translates into a harder edge.

Garden city suburbs have a higher Malay Chinese or Indi Chinese population.

I think yes, mainland Chinese , the food in that area is very gooey , is the only way I can describe it, now that's fine if you like food that way, my son says its the real Chinese food, not the Take aways we know here in Australia!

Yes, I was sitting at the Pinjarra rd/ Mandurah forum lights awhile back and a crack head zombie-like creature crossed my path.

While I don't like the idea of selling off state assets, selling off Western Power is unlikely to change the power bills dramatically, because they aren't the ones charging the consumers, Synergy is. Remember when the ALP split Western Power into four parts to 'keep energy prices down', which it failed to do? (The real reason was so they could be privatised easier)

Cheaper I would imagine, just like other states that have privatised their power companies.

The quicker they sell it the better, they need more accountability for their wastefulness.

Telstra Wholesale definitely should be, they should never have had an enormous monopoly over phone and internet infrastructure. The retail side could easily have been privatised on its own.

The others aren't infrastructure based, but there would be some advantages to them being government owned.

the privatisation of western power was poorly done and could have been done much better. it is for this reason and the union control in the background means we won't see cheaper power in WA.

WA should have looked at NZ for how to do it for a jurisdiction isolated from others.

Western Power only maintains the SWIS grid. They don't generate electricity or look after billing. There's not really a whole lot of room for competition.

What people don't generally understand is that maintaining the grid is a huge percentage of the cost of supplying power to residences.

On the one hand we want billing to be highly variable based on consumption (to encourage people not to waste power), but on the other it's not a true reflection of cost.

Been living in mandurah 10 years. Dead set haven't been in the forum more than twice in 4 years. Absolutely ****ing hole.

Even prefer to drive to Rockingham but generally shop online and do food shopping elsewhere.

They are actually sub contractors - that was taken off western power a couple of years ago. Fleet services is the same - a lot of the heavy vehicles are leased from another company. As others have said the break up was never done properly and that's were the issues stem from.

There is also a surplus of management in head office and not enough on the ground and as for the guy at the top - spare me. His salary and bonuses are a disgrace
