I know that's what's written on it, I just thought that was the difference nevertheless. I guess slab and carton are interchangeable. We're hitting the big issues today :)

Since I trust you guys more than some random on the internet (yes, I appreciate the irony here...)

What and where do you buy your cameras from? Don't want to buy online, and all I'm looking for is a decent point and shoot. Not a budding photographer or any kind of expert here, just want something that is versatile, affordable and can take pictures at night.

Looking it up on the internet is doing my head in and it isn't really helping me with the best places, although I am thinking of scavenging Dick Smith's carcass...

Got mine from Leederville Camera House. Canon SX710, point and shoot, pretty compact, does black and white, sport, fireworks also has a special effects mode, gives some pretty good pictures. Took it to the US and Canada for 8 weeks last year, and Japan for a couple of weeks in January. Hasn;t skipped a beat, cost about 400 - 450. No problems with night shots.

I played The Vines' Ellenbrook course for the first time this weekend. It was picturesque and a nice layout (despite all the hills), but I was really disappointed by the condition of some of the greens - covered in yellow sand and really bumpy/rough. Anyone else experienced this? I expected better for the price.

Thanks, don't really need it to be good at sports or fireworks but it sounds like one for me. I'll have a look.

Still looking for career work in Darwin but will be here for a while.

Mitchell St nights are always interesting.

I may have to see a career counsellor and investigate alternative options for career if it doesnt work out. Some jobs are great as fill in roles but not as long term career roles.

Since finishing up with uni have spent about even time in Perth and Darwin. Enjoyed the Darwin life more, but that's more the nature of the nights out - only having the one night to go out tends to mean that they are made the most of!

Yeah JB Hifi is my default for electronic stuff and there's one not far from where I live, however I want to explore my options and with Dick Smith going under I thought it might also be good to have a look there.

This is 3 slabs.

Notice how they are shrink wrapped on a piece of cardboard.=Slab

This is a carton.

Notice how the cardboard encapsulates the contents entirely.=Carton

This is a block.

Does anyone know of anything happening in the Bicton/East Freo area today? Was a large police presence set up through the area. Saw nothing on the news.

lol at Warner on the VB block.

Imagine if they had tried to use Michael Clarke as a poster boy, I could just imagine some angry bogan going "The man never drank a VB in his life!"
I think we can agree that Warner has probably had a VB or two too many on occasions.

I'd recommend the GoPro Hero
