This must be the first night derby in about a decade.

Dockers had a Round 1 evening game a few years back, but yeah first real night derby for a long time. Kerr kicked goal of the year and Freo won by a couple of goals iirc??

Belmont perhaps. I worked in the same branch a few years later (when Karl was nearing the end of his AFL career) and it was sort of folklore around the place the day it got robbed by Abbott. Karl definitely worked there, we had a tradition of taking a staff Christmas photo every year and adding it to the album. He was in at least one such photo.

Could be. My old man worked in the bank and knew Karl. Abbott held up numerous branches so it might have been different branches (or I migth have made it all up!), I'll have to ask the old man one day.

The other thing about Perth I want to know is this?

Why are the women so beautiful but they usually have a sad, miserable look on their faces? A look of frustration, despair, "**** off" misery on a weekend night?


Is it because WA men do not know how to dress when they go out?

Thongs and shorts are not nightclub wear. You are not digging for idiot ore or laying down some half wit electrical wire, you are going out with a beautiful woman dressed to the nines.

Is it because of that half wit thing?

Or are WA men just crap in bed?

I actually already know, knowing what I know.

But I seek honest opinions, especially from clueless WA men.

Was wondering how I forgot that given I actually have a Freo player's guernsey from that night, now I realise it was just a repressed memory.

There was a night derby in 2007, Rd 3. Did LOL as they started the season 0-3 after finishing 2006 so strongly and recruiting Chris Tarrant.

In 2013 there was a twilight derby also. 4.40 vs 5.40 isn't a whole lot different.

There was a 6.40 game in 2005 and a 7.40 game in 2003. I miss those timeslots.

We won both derbies in 2005. You won both in 2006. First was close (late goal by Haselby), second was a blowout.

WA women are miserable because they believe their own publicity. The reputation of Perth having beautiful women isn't unwarranted, but it is overstated.

I certainly don't speak for all Perth guys but I know plenty that aren't interested in girls 'dressed to the nines' in the latest Claremont Quarter dress, 6 inch heels, inch thick make up etc. and the attitude that goes with it at 4 o clock on a Sunday afternoon.

Also most Perth girls don't know how to dress to their body type or social setting.

Ditto to the small shorts with the arse cheeks hanging out? Feel like telling them your fb might want to see your arse cheeks but I can live without it.
