It was epic

Couldn't hear the telly and it's the last ever episode of Downtown Abby. :D

Dog was funny - only a pup and wandered across to the door to see what all the noise was about - totally confused him

My house was built in the 1960s. It really was not designed for 2016 rainfall.

I need to replace some gutters anyway, might install another 300 downpipes.
I have a weird roof that drops down in a V shape in the middle with a drain running through it, always need to make sure it's completely clear because if it's blocked and overflows it pours straight on to ceilings either side.

I have similar.

I cleaned out my gutters on Saturday so they are all completely clear around the perimeter of the house. When it started raining heavily before I went out under patio and watched around the side of the house. Once the rain gets to a certain threshold the gutters just can't handle it and start overflowing even though the drainpipes are clear and draining. Anything up to about teal on the radar is fine, but yellow and above and like everything else in Perth it all falls down. I'll probably put up two big circular drainpipes on each wall around the place and see if that does the job.

My house was built in 2007 and I still had water coming through in places it's not meant to.
No offense, but modern houses are slapped together piles of shite in many cases now. So much quick shoddy work.

This. I did electrical for a little while in new houses about a decade ago and unless you can afford one of those smaller time builders (that mainly only rich people use) all the main companies that build houses were generally disturbingly ordinary to poor in quality of construction.

When was this heavy rain? Can't say I noticed it and my window was open all night

I went to bed about 2215 and it started then.

Was quite nice to snuggle up and listen to the rain actually.

Ditto. It was beautiful.

Barely a drop in Busso.

We have so many storm warnings and nothing ever gets here. Can be a monsoon in Perth and in Margs, but as soon as it gets near the bay, it seems to all disappear.

The Fairfaxification of 6PR appears to be taking its toll in the latest ratings results, their prime demographic down a whopping 3.5 points, with breakfast, mornings and afternoons all down. The oldies haven't fled to the ABC though - they've become comfortably numb on Mix 94.5 :$

I don't care what anyone says - basil is the problem here - most arrogant, condescending, pompous twat on air.

Meanwhile over on 1080 Gosich is stinking it up.

I've gone to nova and when I feel death is hovering Smeg Head , I listen to 94.5
