Not everybody is driven by money and materials.. Society has forced this idea that instead of being unique human beings, we must follow some unwritten way of living.. And if you don't follow the formula (find a wife, buy a house, have kids) then your a failure.

I f**ing hate it when people judge and put people down who aren't living their life in a certain way.

Don't even know if this was relevant but this was annoying me about one of my friends irl. The beauty of life is that everybody has their own story..

I'm not assuming anything, but buying a house on $25/hr would be next to impossible and relying on two incomes is limiting.
"Relying on two incomes is limiting"

Who's man is this? Having 2 incomes is a dream, how tf does that limit you?

Scotland confirmed ugly single dude who's never been in a relationship

Odd post. You're not a 'failure' if you don't want the above things but if you do want them they cost money.

My original point was that your priorities and needs etc. change with age. I drive a shit car, live in an unremarkable house etc. and life still costs me a dickload more than it did 10 years ago - and that's without wife and kids.

Excuse me while I just repair my irony meter.

If you need two incomes to buy a house and you decide to have kids, then what?

A very small percentage of people who work in large retail chains progress through the ranks, or even seek to.

How do you buy a house if you earn $20-25 an hour?

Just live off the sausage sizzle they do out the front.

I could've sworn that you've posted before that you live in/around Melville area...not exactly lower middle class.

What the price of a house in Perth now that isn't a complete shithole in a neighbourhood where you will probably get robbed once a month? 450k?
Probably more than that. You'd get a nice house in Armadale for that.

He could be in Willagee
His electorate is Tangney so according to this map. He would be in this area.

My bet is Applecross!

Melville is definitely a lower middle-class area, only if you go up to Applecross/South Perth is where all the rich people are.

I live in Willetton where most of the middle-class live and Melville is a slight step below us.

Detective Mourinho on the case. Ha.

What is 'lower middle class'? Melville > Canning.

You can buy in Applecross or South Perth for under $350k and you can buy in Willagee for a lot more than that.

Still where all the rich people are!!!!

Low middle-class is probably people who are on the edge of the bell curve going down into being poor.

The skills you gain from working the till don't translate well to business management and development.

I wouldn't have thought that applies to too many in Melville the city or suburb. But then that depends on your definition of 'poor'.

OK...?

I was agreeing with you. Poorer interpersonal skills make me better at managing bigger issues.
