More Applecross kids in private schools than Willetton kids, I'd say, so the ones that go to ASHS are more likely to be unenthusiastic about school. Willetton and Rossmoyne also get all the kudos, and money, and cred, which then creates a cycle in which other nearby high schools lose talent to them as well as parents move suburbs and they can recruit better teachers.

Willetton has been described to me as middle middle middle middle class. 'Class' is about a lot more than home value - in fact, I suspect the $ value of a house has little to do with it. Houses in Willetton are expensive, but the suburb doesn't have the same 'well off' vibe as Rossmoyne and, even more so, Applecross.

I think that's a pretty accurate description. The school zone seems to something that keeps house prices high, but there isn't the attraction that Applecross has. That area as a whole isn't too bad.
