Nurses for example work early morning shifts, night shifts etc. and earn a below average wage. Bit rich to say 'yeah just get PT to work' when it's often not an option at those times then slug them for parking also.
There's an exception to everything, obviously. I'm likely going into shift work soon, so I guess I'll experience it all for myself...

I work at rph, sometimes use public transport (convenient with the McIver station right there) but for late shifts will always drive. Paying to park at work seams like a slap in the face. A few workmates there had cars broken into after a night shift a few years back and it turned out the security cameras were fake ones. Car park staff were absolutely useless and no-one got any compensation. Makes you wonder what you actually pay for.

Always feel sorry for the family members who ask where the cheapest place to park would be because there is literally nowhere.

I got my car stolen from OPH were i used to work years ago.

I am a PT user and I shake my head at people who drive for an hour each day in morning traffic just to get to the CBD to pay $30-40 to park their car for 8 hours only to do the same in the evening traffic, but Perth's PT infrastructure is lacking in many areas.

And having to pay for parking to visit a hospice is just a kick in the nuts you don't need.
Yeah the only shift she can get from our house to work using public is a morning shift but she works night shifts mainly do driving is the only option unfortunately

Classy inhabitants at the train station just behind too. Crappy cafe and some serious updating needed.

I get there every Perth trip

Yeah, RPH is a tough one because there is so much homeless around the area (I know, because I work pretty much at McIver train station at the drop-in centre). If you are looking for parking, there is free parking on the other side of the tracks (if you're outside normal working hours). Depends if you want to risk leaving your car there and risk walking through that underpass after dark.

East Freo. Lasted a couple of minutes.

Had a friend Facebook some hale in east freo couple hours ago. I was out at the Guildford for lunch and barely a whimper of a rain drop.

Speaking of the Guildford - the place was choc a block with people seated and those looking for a table - couldn't move and people have been raving about the place but tbh I didn't get the hype - limited menu and meal wasn't that flash. Saving grace was that they served Sailor Jerry

Even a new round about in perth will attract a crowd.

I heard the fit out is pretty flash. I might have to join the crowd next weekend.

The fit out is great, the atmosphere was great, I just thought the menu was limited

I didn't like it. Menu was crap. I ate there and was vomiting hours later and the chairs are as uncomfortable asf. And it's open plan so it's as cold asf. Yeah nah...
Vomiting? Thats not just a crap menu, thats downright terrible on more than one front.
