Exactly why I wasn't worried. Lol. They couldn't hit a 3 point shot in fact a lot of those shots were way off.
 
Good win and finally the opponents shots stopped falling from 3 and mid range.

On Zach Lowe's podcast he mentioned our defence has been good since the Butler trade at forcing tough shots (contested 2s etc). These guys have just been hitting everything on us (Hood Clarkson Russel Dinwiddie etc.)

Our offence after today is likely top 2 in the league in Points Per 100 Possesions since the trade. Really great to see and didn't expect those sort of results to occur so quickly.

Embiid playing in the 4th to Stat Pad was interesting but I guess he is chasing the MVP this year and wants the counting stats.

Lets handle our business at home against Memphis and Washington and have a healthy team for a big crack again in Toronto in a week or so. Can't wait till Toronto and Milwaukee etc. have to come into our building to face our squad with a hyped crowd also later in the season.

He is more athletic and better at getting to the rim than TJ, for sure. But the flaws in his game are so massive and would be exploited heavily in any playoff series (like they were last year and he was removed from the rotation for TJ).

There are not many PGs in the NBA that survive without having an ability to catch and shoot a basketball, get defended only in the paint when they have the ball, not guarded when without the ball whilst also cannot make FT's at a rate above the average centre. Not only does the shooting effect Fultz ceiling, it will effect his ability to stay in the NBA.

The fresh team idea could even be worse for him, as he won't have the trust and respect of his team mates and coach. He could get buried very quickly in another situation as teams may not see the benefit to playing him developmental minutes over their other home grown talent.

I would be confident that Fultz won't have his 4th Year $12M option declined next season based on the current situation and his only hope may be on a minimum contract type second draft role like Mudijay and Burke etc. are on. The G league should be an option for him also to hone his confidence and talent.

Just a strange situation, his shooting mechanics and confidence in shooting have dropped off almost on a week by week basis since the beginning of the year. I have no idea what is going through his head. It has been a rollercoaster with him all year and I suspect that after the latest 'Specialist Visit' Brett Brown and Elton Brand have had enough and just want to move forward with the team and not have to deal with this.

He's shooting 56% on his Free Throws which gives him 1.12 expected points at the foul line - assuming it doesn't improve - and the Sixers are scoring 1.09 per possession. Hacking Fultz would not be a good strategy.

Either way, this isn't about Fultz' long-term value on the team which will only be defined by if he gets back on the court and starts putting up jumpers, but what he can bring to the table right now over someone like TJ, who offers no real improvement over him in any category.

I do find it funny though that we're talking about point guards who can't catch & shoot, when our starting PG is a walking meme generator because of how non-existent a threat he is.
 
Covington has been a game-changer for Minnesota and for them to now be a top-3 ranked defense is one big FU to the shitty fans that booed him and couldn't comprehend his value.

Butler has been good for us and the trade at this stage is a win-win for both parties, but the trade long-term is going to be valued by whether he stays or if the Sixers are able to use the freed-up cap space to sign the correct players, because RoCo is extremely ******* good on a terrific contract.

Agree with your main points:
-RoCo is great. Love RoCo
-those fans are s**t.
-winner of trade remains to be seen

But if Sixers make / win the Finals this year then that is surely a win to them. Yes staying and providing long-term success is important but if we can bank short-term success isn’t that just as good?

Love me some Cov but the Wolves schedule has been pretty cake with a huge number of games at home. Now facing 10/12 on the road, will be very interesting where they are placed after that tough stretch.

Not sure whether what is more amazing:
Wiggins playing this poorly or:
Rose playing that well

I think TJ brings more to the table considering:
After Fultz got benched for 1 second half against Phoenix for playing poorly (probably lost 6-8 mins of playing time)
Fultz and his camp decided to pack up your gear and leave the team indefinitely

Just having minutes cut for 1 half of a game caused this dude to pull himself out of the lineup. Not reliable whatsover.

Give me reliability of TJ that will compete always over a flaky guy like Fultz who can just stop playing apparently whenever he likes.

Cheers. Gave Simmons a chance to monster the rebounds, and gave Butler more room in there as well.

Muscala not big enough to hold their big guys but more than made up for it with his late blocks and 3pt shooting. Belmont ringer I reckon.

No Jimmy in games atm is a killer because how poor wing depth is. Hurt having no Muscala yesterday as well, the Amir minutes were brutal. Really need another wing and legit back up 5 coming into trading season and the buyout market. I like Wilson Chandler, but he's a 15 - 20 min a night back up at this point, not a 30min+ starter. Not really his fault that he has to do that, that's the make up of the roster currently.
 
Quiet in here recently.
Good to see the team winning on the road. 3-2 road trip overall.
Good to see huge offensive numbers against lesser light teams - Embiid, Simmons, Redick all superb.

Still lacking depth which needs to be rectified, but holding firm in the top 4 of the East, and keeping within striking distance of the top teams as we approach half way point.
 
Not sure if anyone has seen it before, I accidentally stumbled on it the other night on Kayo. It's a great doco called Ben Simmons - Year One. Probably pretty old now, but I'd never heard of it.

Bit tricky to find on Kayo, it's on the Shows page and it's on one of the big tiles. Hope that makes sense. Kayo really needs to make it easier to find stuff. Really good watch anyway
