Naughton x2, Weightman, Bmith, JJ

Edit - this was after the game started as I had the preview on and didn’t realise it had started :straining:
Hey ossie, I hate to sound like a hard bastard but I'm going to apply the rules and disallow this. You still get a carryover team of course.

I'm not suggesting you are trying to rort the system but my concern is the precedent it sets It's not just whether a goal had been scored to that point, it's also the opportunity that people have to see how the players have lined up (e.g. we could have pushed Naughton back and played Schache at FF - just as a hypothetical).

I'm sure you're legit, but if I allow this one it makes it hard to stomp on it in future.

All good, that’s why I added the edit just in case the time wasn’t noticed

PIEMAN RESULTS Rd 20 v Adelaide

The Men from Mars had an easy outing this afternoon. It's nice to bank the win early, before the rain and before the restrictions start coming in.

We had 12 different goalscorers today so there were a few 20 point bonuses going around, and some solid scores.

There were 17 carryover teams and they required four subs (3 for Richards, 1 for Keath). All four - josh the gent, businessfish, Vinegar Mess and ScragCity - got Hannan as their sub which brought them no joy.

Pieman Player of the Week

Jason Johannisen returned to the scoresheet with a couple of goals and topped the list this week. Highest score possible was 218 (3x JJ, 2x Hunter).

Pieman Player of the Year

No-one is making much of a dent in Josh Bruce's lead in PPotYat this stage, although Libba keeps pegging away at it. Bruce just keeps kicking his one or two at keeping them at bay.

The KELVIN

A strong Kelvin win this week for past Pieman winner StringyDog today with 154 points. The mercurial Charlie Bucket (132) came in a respectable second with a triple Garcia and TedDougChris (127) used his 20 point bonus to sneak in for third.

The PIEMAN

Wocka still hangs onto the lead despite losing ground to the next 9 teams on the table. Vinegar Mess is now only 25 behind and there are three others within 100 points of the leader. weltschmerz has continued her steady climb up the board and is now in 6th. Fossie 32 also enters the top 10 for the first time.

Sympathies to 5th-placed ossie_21 who would have been 25 points closer (and in third place) if he'd got his entry in on time. :(

Worried about someone "shadowing" your picks so you can't get ahead of them? Want to keep your entry secret?

From next week (Rd 21) until the end of the whole season I'm allowing anyone to submit their entry via PM if they don't want anyone else to know who they have picked in their Pieman team.

I won't reveal your team until after the match has started but I will reveal who has lodged their teams via PM.

The usual rules apply though. I have to get your team (and any subsequent changes) in a PM no later than match start time, otherwise you get a carryover team.

It's not my preferred approach as it's a bit more work for me but if you're concerned about it then the option is there for you.

Impressive showing from RandomDog this week
It's an improvement. Still hoping for a big Kelvin before the year's out.

Just don't look at the leaderboard.

Pieman Handicaps Round 21 v Essendon

Here are this week's handicaps. It's a bit tricky, not knowing who from the extended bench will be playing. Extended bench is in yellow.

Handicaps for the final 22.

The final 22 named today came from the extended bench announced by the club last night but two new players ended up making the list as emergencies while Young and Lipinski were told not to bother.
