Pieman Substitutes Round 7

There were no late changes but all seven carryover teams had players from last week who were out injured this week.

The order of substitutes was:

Libba
Dale
Bruce
Naughton
Macrae
JJ
Hunter
Treloar
Bont

The carryover teams that received subs were:
54Bulldog16 who got Libba and Dale (for English and Vandermeer)
Fossie 32 who got Libba (for Dunkley)
grassman75 who got Dale and Bruce (English, Jong)
Jeff 1975 who got Libba (English)
ScragCity who got Libba x2 (Vandermeer x2)
Snarls Barkley who got Libba (English)
and Wocka who nearly had a full team of substitutes: Libba x2, Dale, Bruce (English x2, Vandermeer, Jong)

Note:
In case anybody asks, if there's a situation where you have a multiple selection (x2 or x3) and a single selection that both need substitutes I'm applying the higher priority sub to the multiple selection first and then moving on to the single selections. So for instance Wocka gets Bruce x2 to replace English x2 because English - the multiple - has to get the first priority substitute (Libba). Similarly if you had a x3 and x2 and both needed subs then the first priority sub would be the x3 and the next priority sub would be the x2. It's common sense but I thought I'd better spell it out.

PIEMAN RESULTS RD 7 v Richmond

Five goals to one with just under 8 minutes remaining on the clock in the second quarter. After that we kicked two for the rest of the match while Richmond kicked ten. They gave us a lesson in pressure football.

Naturally there were no big scores this week and no big movers on the leaderboard.

Pieman Player of the Week

Anthony Scott headed the player points table this week. With only five goalkickers there wasn't much competition.

Pieman Player of the Year

Josh Bruce still heads the list with Naughton moving into second.

The KELVIN

It's the lowest score for a Kelvin this year (67) and a narrow margin (1) but it's a win for TedDougChris nevertheless. businessfish (66) was the one to narrowly miss out. There were only four others who scored 50 or more.

There were also nine who failed to score at all. They included Charlie Bucket and SayerTheCreator who remarkably would have shared the Kelvin if Lipinski's late poster had gone through for a goal. It's a cruel game.

The PIEMAN

It's still Boyd oh Boyd (627) at the top and leading by 18 from dogwatch (609) with Floridog (595) in third. It's very tight after that with only 99 points covering 3rd to 20th. With 15 games plus finals still to come it's clear that anybody could still win it.

Here's the reduced handicap list for this week.
One change in the handicaps from those posted earlier in the week - Cordy has been reduced to 46. (Who knows where he'll play?)
