PIEMAN RESULTS Round 6 v Adelaide

Not many positives to take out of this game. One that has hardly been mentioned is that we kicked more goals than behinds (9.8). In fact three of those behinds were rushed so we can't blame bad kicking this week. It also means we had a few goals to be shared around among 6 players in the Pieman (but no 20-point bonuses again this week). No really big scores with only 3 teams cracking the ton.

Carryover Teams and Substitutes

There were 20 carryover teams and among them we needed some subs for English (6 times) and Hunter (twice). Pieman sub allocation went like this:

Bont2Bruce - 2x English became 2x Weightman = 0 points
Charlie Bucket - 2x English became 2x Weightman = 0 points
scarrgo - 1x English became 1x Weightman, 1x Hunter became 1x Naughton = 14 points
StringyDog - 1x Hunter became 1x Weightman, 1x English became 1x Naughton = 14 points

The KELVIN

That final quarter surge of four goals was decisive. Wocka (120) recorded his first Kelvin for the year swooping in with 72 points in the last quarter. lateniter (108) was second and scarrgo (102) was third.

The PIEMAN

We have a new leader yet again with Foxman98 returning to the top and Fossie 32 dropping to second only 12 points behind. In third is the quiet achiever cleveland who hasn't won a Kelvin with his set & forget team but keeps racking up handy scores.

Pieman Player of the Week

Josh Schache topped the points this week after playing mostly in defence in the VFL. He must be as bewildered as us.

Pieman Player of the Year

Nobody put together enough points to challenge Cody Weightman's lead but Naughton got a little closer with his 2 goals (14 points). A nice even spread.

Final Handicaps for Round 7

Here are the final handicaps after confirmation by the club of the final 22 selected to play.

With Schache dropping out I've reduced Wallis, Cordy and Vandermeer slightly. (Where are the goals going to come from Bevo?)
