Does anyone have a link to a reliable source saying Johannisen is out and Vandermeer is in?

The WB site still shows JJ in the side.

Anyway if JJ is out and VDM is in then you can have Vandermeer with a handicap of 23.

PIEMAN RESULTS ROUND 19 v Melbourne

I'm back. Thanks for your patience everyone.
Let's trot out the old cliche and take it one game at a time. First up, here's Round 19.

Carryover teams and Pieman Substitutes

There were 22 carryover teams but only one of them needed a sub. That was TedDougChris who struck it lucky getting Ugle-Hagan (80) for Jordon Sweet.

The KELVIN
As he said, Foxman98 absolutely nailed this round with a double helping of Jamarra and a bit of Garcia and Naughton on the side. His 238 points was the third highest score of the year. Northern Dogs (174) was the only one to collect the 20-point bonus in this game and that took him into second spot for the Kelvin just ahead of jaxie1 (159).

The PIEMAN Leaderboard

The long stint at the top of the leaderboard is over for TiAn_ , well for now at least. Foxman98 has taken over at the top and by a considerable margin a that. He is 162 ahead of Snarls Barkley who has eased into second spot just ahead of TiAn_.

Can anyone challenge Foxman for the Pieman with just a few rounds to go? Well let's see. Results of Round 20 and 21 will be posted in the coming days.

Pieman Player of the Week

The PPotW rightly goes to Jamarra Ugle-Hagan for his 5-goal haul and 80 points. Riley Garcia was pretty handy too with 64 points.

The highest score possible this week was 368 (3x Jamarra and 2x Garcia).

Pieman Player of the Year

Cody Weightman extended his season lead slightly but the big mover was obviously Jamarra Ugle-Hagan who has jumped up to sixth overall.

Round 20 results coming shortly ...

PIEMAN RESULTS Round 20 v Geelong

The euphoria of beating Melbourne didn't last long. Disappointing loss.

Carryover Teams and Pieman Substitutes

There were 25 carryover teams in Rd 20 and 18 subs were required. Seventeen of those subs were Jamarra Ugle-Hagan replacing Adam Treloar and that worked out well enough as he kicked two goals for 24 Pieman Points (I won't bother listing them all). The eighteenth was TedDougChris who wasn't quite as fortunate this week. He got Garcia who went goalless.

The KELVIN
Top of the points this week was Cudi (136) for what may be a first-ever Kelvin. Well done.
54Bulldog16 (123) was second and five others cracked the ton.
The average score this week was only 56.3. There were only 5 goalscorers so no surprise there were no 20-point bonuses awarded this week.

The PIEMAN Leaderboard

A friend of mine has a saying: "After the Lord Mayor's carriage comes the shitcart". So it was for Foxman98 this week. He still retains a very handy lead but after his spectacular 238 points last week he recorded a doughnut this week. TiAn_ bounced back with a 73 to reclaim second spot less than 100 behind the leader. Snarls Barkley is still very much in it but so too are ScottyDogg and X_box_X who are within 150 of the leader.

Pieman Player of the Week

Josh Dunkley wins the PPotW from the consistent Weightman. Highest possible score this week was 204 (3x Dunkley, 2x Weightman).

Pieman Player of the Year

Cody Weightman increases his margin at the tip of the leaderboard and Dunkley moves into second ahead of Naughton. Marra continues to move up the rankings.

PIEMAN RESULTS Rd 21 v Fremantle

Final game to catch up - here's the wrap from Round 21. Another disappointment but at least we kicked 11 goals and had seven different goal scorers. Something to kindle a tiny spark of interest if you're in the Pieman.

Carryover Teams and Pieman Substitutes

There were 24 carryover teams this week. Eleven substitutes were required and 8 of those 11 were in two teams:

Charlie Bucket had his entire team replaced and he did pretty well out of it. From [3x Gardner, 2x McComb] to [3x Weightman, 2x Dunkley]. What was going on with Gardner? Was CB trying to tank? If so he got screwed badly, LOL.

theAthenian had been running with 3x JJ for some weeks but he too got 3x Weightman so another happy result.

The other subs were all productive:
54Bulldog16 - English for JJ
lateniter - Weightman for JJ
Weltschmerz - Weightman for JJ
The KELVIN

Well Charlie Bucket nearly pinched the Kelvin with a team full of subs that netted him 134 points. However he was just pipped by X_box_X (141) who needed the 20 point bonus to get there. Snarls Barkley (123) was the only other to crack 100 points.

The mean score this week was 52.4. The maximum possible was 146 so X_box_X nearly had the perfect round!

The PIEMAN Leaderboard

There is no change at the top but there are some strong challenges coming with only two rounds to go ... and maybe a final or four to be played. Foxman98 holds onto his lead but it has been whittled to 51 points, down from 162 two rounds ago. X_box_X is also in the picture another 22 points back and then TiAn_ in fourth but only 94 points behind the leader. ScottyDogg has slipped a bit and although not out of contention it's starting to look like the Pieman for 2022 will be one of these four.

Pieman Player of the Week

Cody Weightman is the Player of the Week with his 3 goals and 30 points.

The maximum possible score of 146 was possible if you took Weightman, Smith, Naughton, Vandermeer and Dunkley for 126 points plus a 20 point bonus for picking 5 different goalscorers.

1660231150811.png

Pieman Player of the Year

Weightman has cleared out to a handy 46 point lead over Dunkley, and 66 points over Naughton. It might just be enough to win the thing. Reward for consistency.

Josh Bruce finally made it onto the board with his first - and perhaps only - goal of the season. :sadv1:
