PIEMAN RESULTS Round 5 v Port

We gave it a fair shot but we didn't have the clout or the smarts to finish it off. A miserable night for weather and it meant there weren't many goals going to be kicked. Some surprisingly good scores in the Pieman though ... as long as you took a shine to Cody Weightman

Rollovers and Subs

There were 12 rollover teams but no subs were required. Naughton would have been first sub off the rank if needed.

The KELVIN

The news was leaked (or trumpeted) early. The Kelvin this week goes to Charlie Bucket (188) who had a full house - 3 Codys and 2 Bonts. He finished 2 Bonts in front of Bont2Bruce (156) and Doggies_13 (142) ... who nearly killed it. Eight scores over 100 pts which wasn't a bad return from a measly 8 goal outing.

Charlie finished a mere 188 points in front of his great mate Wocka which will no doubt add some spice when the position is inevitably reversed at some stage during the season. Stay tuned folks!

The score distribution was a bit lumpy this week. Over a quarter of the field recorded either 8 points or a bagel. The median score was 49 and the average was 51.52.

Yet again no Chumps to be found. They're going to be rare as long as the players can't find the goals. The closest this week was Dogs_R_Us who had four right but missed out with his fifth, Libba.



The PIEMAN

We have a new leader. Bont2Bruce (9th last week) takes over with a handy 35 point advantage over dogwatch and then Charlie Bucket a couple of points away in third, having leapt up from 32nd place last week. Our early leader cecil has slipped to fourth but is still very much in contention along with a handful of others with over 300 points. In fact only 100 points covers the top 13.




Pieman Player of the Week

No prizes for guessing that it's Weightman this week. Welcome back Cody!

• Best possible score was 200 with 3x Weightman and 2x either Hannan or English (so not a bad effort there Charlie!)
• A Chump with the five goalkickers would have been worth 168 points.

Pieman Player of the Year

Still tight at the top but English takes over the lead from Libba.
