Agree 100%. We should be utilising our arrangement with New Era for more than just hats. We should scrap the majority of that generic "K-Mart" merch and have New Era as the primary supplier of non-ISC/official gear.

Again, it's all licensing issues. I'm sure we have a deal with the AFL where we're required to carry X amount of kmart merch.

I don't know how ISC are going to feel about having another branded competitor supplying a bunch of merch to us.

Obviously there is a separate deal with the caps as they are an item that ISC can't manufacture at the same level.

But New Era polos and t-shirts? ISC would (rightly) tell us to bugger off.

How do we know that? ISC is the official supplier of team gear. If we don't step on their toes in that department I can't see an issue. New Era supply a heap of supporter apparel for MLB teams where the official team gear supplier is some other company.

It depends on how the licencing agreement is written, but I still don't see the harm in investigating the possibility.

Ultimately, we 100% should be investing in the rights to the monogram. That would resolve the issue nicely.

Then we can get ISC to make that black polo with the monogram, and I can have some port gear that looks nice enough to wear to work.

The monogram is an excellent adjunct to our current visual identity and perfectly suited to a range of merchandise that you would class as 'classic old school'. Aimed fairly and squarely at those of us that supported the club prior to '96, or those who appreciate that history.

It's also not obviously a football cap, which is why it's so popular. Not every supporter of a club wants to be emblazoned with obvious branding when not attending the football. This merch fits that role beautifully.

Just to illustrate this, I wore a black & white PA cap with black t-shirt and jeans to a cocktail function at MONA in Hobart last year. No one batted an eyelid. Unless you know what it is, it's just a monogram hat. It's like a secret that only some people are in on. Not sure how long that will last though ...

Would there be anything preventing us from branding any New Era clothing/stuff as 'streetwear' or 'casual wear'? Since ISC are the official manufacturer for 'official merchandise' (member's polo, coach's gear, players' gear, training gear).

To the all seeing Port Store.

Could you please investigate the possibility of a plain black casual polo top with the PA monogram on it? If we order through New Era there wouldn't be any issues with copywrite and such, but I'm sure you already knew this.

If the shirt below (from New Era) had a PA monogram on it, I would buy one in an instant.

This would be so farking sweet!!!!!

Co-sign.

To add, a plain black hoodie with PAFC across the front in simple white lettering a la the 2010 sexiness.

No teal cuffs, no teal trim, no teal tassels, no weird fonts you found at the bottom of a list on Microsoft Derp.

Anton was one of my best mates in primary school. Ripping bloke.

Can you please ask him to get back on the drugs and make some better BJM music?

Thanks in advance.

My wife said they are supposed to be getting teal scarves called Pashminas in. Are they in stock yet?

Does the Port store do the numbers for jumpers, and if they do can I a) take in a jumper to get numbers put on it and b) how long does it take? Want to get Chad's number 20 on my prison bar Guernsey and places in Perth are a joke for it.

pound for pound the worst thing in the history of things is seeing someone with a Port guernsey on, with sports store pressed on felt numbers on the back. i mean ferfuchsache. i've seen it at family day. family day. those square edged black felt numbers desecrating a perfectly good guernsey when you could've had the real ones put on for a nominal fee not 50 yards away. carn'y code
