It's not the first time I've seen these types of Port merch pop up on my news feed who makes them, are they just like fan designed clothing or something? Haven't seen the Pear stuff but that would've been neat if made right.

I am against the names on the back of the jumper, those who deserve me to remember their names will do something of note, the others come and go! No longer will #16 be Tredrea/Wines nor #21 be Bradley/Wilson/Polec. It seems with free agency we are moving away from what Australians love, the Club is bigger than the individual, how many times will a player point to the name on his back as opposed to tapping the logo on his heart?
For this reason alone I will never buy a jumper with an individuals name plastered across the back!

Ild love a cheap option, like the Vintage Washed look. A bloke diving for Cockles wearing Port merch with Eat. 1870 beneath. T-shirt or hoodie, even a crew jumper. Just something different that points back to our history/heritage or something like the Pear logos floated early in the year that is slightly obscure and quirky. Make us cool

I bloody hope they don't bring in the name Guernseys permanently. The tiny numbers looked ****ing horrible.
It's meant to be for the new fans so they can get to know the players better, but we all know it's just to get more money into the AFLs pocket when people get names printed on their Guernseys as well as numbers.

I went in today when I was down at training. One of my boys wanted an away guernsey as he already has last years home version and his birthday is in a few weeks. Anyway, there were none in his size but we grabbed some other cool gear and lined up to buy them (huge line by the way) and I heard the guy in front of me asking about the "named" jumpers....... which have now come in! I think they are only stocking 4 players - definitely Boak & Hartlett and I think Ebert and Gray but I'm not sure. I bought one and it looks awesome with name, no. and new sponsors - my lad will be stoked.

In previous years it's because we announced our 2nd 'major' sponsor so close to the start of the season. Not sure what the reason is this year, or if it's normal for them to take this long?

They are the aways, and had plenty of sizes.
Boak, Hartlett, Wingard, Ebert.
Killing me.. They said it would be in last week. I ordered my membership pack, one of the new jackets and they said they won't send it because they were waiting for the guernseys to arrive. It was over 2 weeks ago.. Ah well. All good things..
