I have a Fubu Atheltic fistbolt trucker cap. It's too cool for the site to allow me to upload a picture of.

For all the nit picking about what Port merch looks "dreadful", I actually think even our worst merch is a million times better than some clubs and it is due to colours.

There is no way you can make the Giants orange look visually appealing or the Crows trifecta of kindegarten colours look cool. They are just hideous.

However our black and white as main colours are always sexy.

Imagine being a Hawthorn supporter *vom*

The charcoal of GWS presents them with a solid base if they choose to use it.

This has John James written all over it. It looks like a stylised letter T. Bring back the fist float.

In an alternate universe we would have put a float in the Mardis Gras with that fist trailer.
Trav and the boys in teal spandex dancing along to C&C Music Factory.

Would have been very popular, I'd imagine.

I was at the SCG years ago, late 90's, for a Sydney v Collingwood game. Pre-match these four buff guys dressed in nothing but short shorts walked out holding this chair mounted on two beams almost like pall bearers. In the chair was another buff guy wearing nothing other than hotpants. Still to this day I'm not sure what the occasion was.

Closing time at the Steel Mill perhaps?

Ron Barassi's birthday?

My only input regarding the PB's is that I don't want to see them regularly wheeled out. I would like maybe, to see us have a crack at them vs Carlton this year, to make up for being denied them in the 1914 anniversary, and for ANZAC day.

I would never like to see them worn against the Crows. Why devalue a rich and iconic heritage against a mob with none of that? So far we've worn them against other traditional clubs like Carlton, Bulldogs, and Tigers. That's how I like it.

PS, will dig the number panel.

Wearing them v the crows would be the best. Their salty tears will fill the Torrens.

What? Even better than wearing them in a Grand Final?

I don't understand wheeling anything special out, to play the Crows. Its like "hey remember us? we're that state league side that you despise!"

Nah, we know who we are. No need to change for the "special occasion" of playing them twice a year. The PB's should be used as a celebration every now and then. I don't even like the idea of the number panel being introduced specifically for when we play them. It looks like we're trying to hard and that we're still suffering from an identity crisis. Pick a look and stick with it IMO.

Why has the The Port Store Mega Thread morphed into the guernsey/logo redesign thread?

Where's a good guernsey/logo Spec Mod when you need one.

Eddie Dingle's bucks show?

When I think of an Eddie Dingle buck show, I just imagine Eddie Dingle showing people around all of his money.
