Why do these people feel such a compulsion to comment? The vast majority of supporters love these, and there's plenty of other styles available for those who don't. I don't go around saying things like "these hats make you look like a dingbat Aussie philistine" when any of the styles I don't like are advertised. Why do these people feel the need?

What makes a baseball cap - a baseball cap - 'too American' to people? Is it the monogram? Is it the authenticity stickers? What would make it acceptable and therefore 'more Australian'? A federation star or two? A rubbing likeness of the bloke off the $2 coin?
