Just raced down there after work. The biggest size is already sold out. Choppy was in there buying hats for himself and his mates.

Fear not, I overheard the guy say they have one more load of them coming and then that's likely going to be it as the AFL is releasing official club logo New Era hats. We're the only club who ordered our own design off our own backs. Kudos PAFC!

This sort of merch is one of the really good spin-offs of 'OneClub'. Doubt the AFL would've sanctioned it otherwise.

Doubt it. New Era have already said on their Facebook page that there are more designs coming soon (probably like what they have with Nrl caps now). If our "PA" designed caps sell well there's no reason why they would stop production of them, unless the club orders them to.

Also picked up a copy of Since 1870 which is the greatest publication I have ever had the pleasure of flicking through.

The issue will be that once they become an officially licensed product, ie AFL logo, official club logos etc, the club may not be allowed to order any more of these "unofficial" hats. The guy in the shop said something similar. These hats were done entirely independent of the AFL.

A bit rough, but it does look pretty nice like this. Definitely wouldn't mind it as our logo.

Could get rid of the grey background, add PAFC Est 1870 on there as well.

In all seriousness though, the "PA" logo reminds me of the simplicity, yet clear statement of the "NY" that the Yankees use.

I reckon the more we focus on "PA" or "PAFC" and the less we focus on "Power" and the lightning bolt the better.
