After 12 games last year we were 1-11 with an average score of 63-102 (62%), this year we're 2-10 with an average score of 68-88 (77%).

That's an 8% increase in scoring, a 14% reduction in scores against us, a 49% reduction in margin and an overall percentage improvement of 25% (and a 100% increase in premiership points...)

While that's only a 3 goal turn around, we are coming from a very low base, so those 3 goals a more significant. Hopefully the second half of the season continues to improve the '18 vs '19 comparison.

We are going to see what the young players can really do in the second half of the year. Looking forward to seeing the talent really shine through before another pre season

Setterfield
Dow
Stocker
O'Brien
SPS
Walsh
McKay
Charlie
Gibbons
Cuningham
Fisher
DeLuca
Macreadie
Williamson

Should all be the beneficiaries.

Looking forward to Gibbons, O'Brien and Deluca providing extra run around the ground.

We beat Freo in Perth after being 5 goals behind and losing Charlie early.

Played without CRIPPS Docherty McKay Williamson Cuningham Stocker etc

Ed's first game as Captain

Jack in the middle was awesome

Coaching of Teague was very good

Murphy kicking the winning goal

Team spirit and effort extremely pleasing

We are coming. Go Blues!!

Yesterday felt like the most physical presence we've had in quite some time.

Absolutely clutch goals from Simmo, Jack, Kennedy & Murph.

I've got positive things to say about everyone yesterday so won't go through them all.

Last 3 weeks we're averaging 86 for, 80 against, percentage of 107%.

We've won 6 quarters, drawing 1 and lost 5.

Our quarterly averages for the 3 games are:
  1. 6 - 28 (22%)
  2. 24 - 18 (131%)
  3. 27 - 15 (178%)
  4. 29-19 (153%)

Maybe about 5 or 6 weeks back, the general feeling was Kennedy and Lang looking like trades that not going to work out as not regular senior players or contributors. All of a sudden they both start looking like they belong out there and really playing their roles in forward half in a way that shows they got the footy nous to play 100 games for this club.
Keep it up fellas as it was two spots on list I was so close to conceding were busts. What a bonus to find Kennedy that most of us had plugged as inside mid only actually is probably more suited up forward and can do it really well.
Funny thing was, when he was in Giants senior team he was mainly a forward so odd how we did not work this out earlier. Better late than never, I guess. Super happy after feeling they would be a list loss a month or so ago.
