Irrespective, Collingwood made out bandits and already it is looking like another bust trade.
I think you're overstating the point a wee bit. He shared our B&F last year having only played 2/3 of the games. He gave us exceptional service until he got injured. If we get his knee sorted, he should have a few great years left too.

I'm not sure you understand how the positives thread works.

Used the free trial period foxtel and decided not to keep it. Told them yesterday , so now will only watch the games when there isn't anything else on. Saving $ and stress.

Post bye was supposed to be our time to show our improvements. Isn't happening. The last two weeks on field effort had been atrocious, and they coincide with the gillon visit. I wonder if the players, like us, were hopeful ofafl help and feel the same flatness that we do with the stupid 'happy with afl in Queensland' comment. It might explain the listlessness on field - they too can't see a way back to the top. Or even the middle.

Tommy Cutler. Has improved a fair bit since arriving at the club. His disposal in particular is much improved. He shows these little signs such as that long goal that are worth getting excited about. Speaking of that goal he has shown an ability to convert in front of the big sticks this season. Has big potential with things that still need to be worked on but I predict a bright future for him at our club. Give it another 3 years and I think he'll be something special for us.

1) Harris Andrews- reminds me of a Scott Pendlebury of the back 6, he seems to make time for himself, never panics, always takes the right option and reads the incoming ball brilliantly to take intercept marks, his last 2 weeks have been outstanding after a bit of a flat spot. going to be a gun.

2) The potential of our key position players- with andrews, schache and hipwood we have the makings of an elite key position set up in 3-5 years time.
we need freeman, close or ballenden to be the third tall and find a beast defender to work with harris down back, maybe declan watson, hammellman?

edit- how could i forget sammy skinner as the beast key defender for positive 2. excuse) i am not usually up past midnight.

Who do you think will be the forward-ruck? It's something we are lacking currently IMO. I honestly can't see Walker being the long term solution as I have doubt he will be in the team after this contract. Freeman and Close are in a similar position IMO as both are at career cross roads... neither have really shown much in the ruck as well.

ballenden- have seen him called a ruck/fwd.

archie- would need to continue on an upward trajectory.

if i had to have a guess now i would go defense to goal line keys in 2020-

Sam Skinner
Harris Andrews 3rd tall- Declan Watson.
Connor Ballenden ?
Eric Hipwood
Josh Schache 3Rd tall- Connor Ballenden/Michael Close/Dan McStay ?

like closes aerobic capacity for that gut running half forward role and am a fan of McStays "potential", still have hope one of them could step up. close just turned 22 and McStay 21 so they are both still very young in KPF terms.

Martin plays so much of the game that Close or Walker are more than capable of pinch hitting in the Ruck IMO. Freeman is in the same boat but he will need to add that string to his bow moving forward.
