Post our win on sat night my 10 year old swapped out of soccer and into afl at school for inter school sports. Never played afl before.
I like to go with "bandwagon jumpers" and I'll take all that want to jump on board.Following on from your post here LF 2020, it's things like this example which infuriate me when it comes to people bashing fair weather fans. Now, I don't have kids, but I'm pretty sure it's tough on kids to go to the footy to watch their team get flogged every week - thus, whilst the parents might wanna go to the footy and support the team, if the kids aren't gonna have a good time, there's very little point. It's probably very difficult to explain concepts like team loyalty, flying the flag and cycles of dominance to youngsters, outside of a brief outline.
So, when the team starts winning, it makes it easier to attend the footy with your family, because at least the kids will have fun again - and then you have muppets decrying them as "fair weather fans". GAGF.
Exactly the scenario I've had with my boys. Eldest starts auskick this year and it's the first time I've been able to encourage watching the footy with me now. Kids don't tolerate dad yelling at the tv very well.Following on from your post here LF 2020, it's things like this example which infuriate me when it comes to people bashing fair weather fans. The expression I hate is "this is a danger game". Which implies that "well, we shouldn't lose to this mob but we might if we're not careful".We are starting to have our opponents respect us. No longer do opposition posters go along with ‘let’s get this game over and done with’ or ‘we’ll win by 10 goals so let’s rest some players’.
Feels great tbh and it’s the start of getting back into the top 8.

I'm seeing back to back to back. The more I analyse it the more I think we will win the premiership this year.

Not even God could sink this ship!As a great man once said:-
"I can't see us losing a game this season"![]()
