A major positive - being on the bottom four feels like coming back home. Reminds me of my youth when I didnt have a mortgage and could take off on a gap year overseas without worrying about potential lifethreatening infections. Thanks for the nostalgia Lions. I am loving heritage week!

Not the best debut for Ashcroft with everyone so reactive, however he still looked great, albeit with limited opportunity. I could see the glimpses of class whenever he went near it. When there is more of a proper team performance, l am expecting Ashcroft to be a huge difference maker.

This loss may be a good thing after all. Fagan usually gets into this secure place where players give the minimum guaranteed effort and we beat whom we usually beat during the season. We all think its working until it doesn't work against a top 4 team. But players have removed the minimum guaranteed effort off the table now - this early in the season. So coaches have to try the drastic plans and moves early. I like it. We either go up or go on a free fall where everything gets questioned - from co-captains, 10 man leadership group, game plans, match day moves and so on.

I really hope so. His style of play really fits the Lions game plan at the moment, almost as if we've based it on him rather than the other way around.

I think the best coaches base their game plan around the strengths of their players not try to mould a game plan in spite of the players on your list.
