Tom Rockliff.

One play in the 2nd quarter where he won the ball, put it forward, mark was spilled and he collected the spill to put it forward to advantage pretty much summarized the team relationship with him; poor bastard has to do almost everything.

It really does feel sometimes that Rocky is the sole beating heart of this football club.

Definitely. I hope so much for his sake (and mine) that he gets the opportunity to captain the Lions in finals.

Does anyone have anything??

Have a look at our history.

Bears supporters endured 8 years without a final series when they first came in.

Fitzroy supporters went 57 years without a premiership and twice went 18 seasons in a row without playing in the finals (1925 to 1942 and 1961 to 1978 - the later including a periods of winning just 1 game in two years, 6 games in 4 years and 19 games in 7 years)

It is when things are at their worst that the Club needs people to stand by them. It is the quality of such people that make a Club. I suggest we all take a deep breath and ask ourselves what would Vossy, Roger Merrett, Leigh Matthews or Kevin Murray do?

Accept the challenge, never give in, never take a backward step. It is when the chips are down we need our best supporters to come together to help lift the Club out of the mire.

Of course it will be tough, of course it will be a long road, and yeah you are going to question a lot of things along the way (and rightly so).

However, it is time for everyone involved in the Club - players, coaches, Board, admin / employees, volunteers and supporters - to stand up and say enough is enough. Only when we have had enough of our current predicament and are all pulling in the one direction with the sole aim of giving everything to achieve success again will we start the slow climb back towards the summit and ultimate glory.

Hopefully today we finally reached the bottom. Hopefully we have all now had enough. Hopefully we are all now ready for the hard yards necessary to get to the top again.

Robbo is going to get better every game. It won't be long till he will be like Rocky. Things will turn. Bit by bit.

Win the spoon, Jed steps down and we Rocky takes over the captaincy. :thumbsu:

Maybe the AFL will finally level the playing field for us finally after a decade of rubbish

If the magic AFL Fairy had have showed up in 1998 and offered 3 flags in a row for ten years of pain I would've said "no worries".

Shit's getting old now though...

The fact that if we keep playing like today an absolute gem of a forward/ruck will be our first pick in the 2014 draft.

Bloody oath.
Who cares about any other team.
These are our boys.
I believe they are trying their best under trying circumstances.
Let's support them.
