Dizzy also appeared to be the only player that came and gave Tom Lynch something to think about after he roughed up Sam Mayes. Albeit a minute or two after the fact.

That was pathetic by Lynch. The first time was very close to me and he went from trying to rough him up to playing for the free very quickly.

Yep, he melted down. Big signal to his opponents that he was frustrated and angry. Win.

The bump by Close near the 50 when Hanley ran 100 metres to kick the goal was fantastic. Freed up the player - crisp I think to get a clean handball out. I really am sold on Close - I think he will add plenty in the long term and can see why we offered him a 3 year extension. He still has a lot to learn, but I feel there is something about him.

Whatboutbob gets quite hot and bothered every time Close gets the ball.

Leppa appears to be committed to getting games into Close which suggests that he is a big part of the future plans. I get the feeling we won't see too much changing of the forward line for the rest of this season baring injury or a return of Luenberger. I can definitely see improvement in a Close now. now. Hopefully another pre-season and a bit more experience and he will be a real threat up forward.

Love seeing Browny in the box with Leppa...

Has Browny made any indications of his intentions for next year? He'll be able to walk into a media role whenever he likes but will he be doing that straight away or will he stick with the club for a while in a development role? I'd like our developing forwards to be able to benefit from his knowledge.

I think he'll do both. Hopefully be a part time coach for us and appear on a panel show.

I don't know much about your talls, but you've got some 'seriously' good talent at your club.

Oldest being 25,

Hanley, Rockliff, Zorko, Rich, Redden, Mayes, Aish, Taylor and that small forward in Green.

If you can nail the upcoming draft and get some good talls then the future looks bright. You might need to trade in a gun tall though or pluck one from no-where.

Incredible what a bit of intent and confidence does, eh?

Wouldn't have thought it was wet the way the team played for much of the game last night.

I honestly can't see Lewy Taylor leaving the club. Just looked at the mozzie interview and he is so happy with Greeny and Zorks, l would not be surprised if all 3 of them are all 1-club players.
Considering his upbringing, it makes it all the more remarkable we have this little gem.

Pretty sure Emma Quayle (who knows Lewy well) tweeted within seconds of him being drafted that he would be the last player to ever walk out on the club.

Feel very confident with him.

He's a freak, no doubt about it, a well grounded and hard working little freak. Saturday nights wet conditions he would have played in hundreds of times growing up down here. He's a massive positive for the club, probably the biggest for the year, because you just know he'll be there for the long hall and as insignificant as it may be for many, he is the ongoing link with the Hampden region which acted as the zone for Fitzroy for so many years.

Zorko got a bit overshadowed but he had great figures there...And Maguire is pretty underrated, even by our own supporters.

Imagine in Zork kicked 6? Wowwee.

One day he'll kick 6. I look forward to that day.
