Schache has shown more in 2 games than the six million dollar man Tom Boyd has in his whole career.
If you watched Boyd, McCartin and Schache without knowing their relative experience levels, I don't think you'd pick Schache as the least experienced.

After all the player turnover and some stability in the list, I rate this to be first year in terms of Leppa instituting a structured game plan. He has players buy-in, we are playing attractive game style, maturity in forward and defense will come.

As long as we are scoring and keeping that forward line turnover pressure, we'll get better with this game plan by second half of this year. Return of Beams would help. Need another centre clearance type to step up - Jansen/NRobbo/Keayes/Mathieson.

josh schache/harris andrews both 12+ years and 250 game players.
created plenty of scoring opportunities again.
we are fitter than we have been.
you can see the bare bones of a game plan.

Agree with all of this.

Love seeing the supporters getting excited when big Schache takes a contested mark or even gets near the ball.

I'd be a tad worried if I was a St.Kilda supporter - they were barely at the races last night, even with the vast experience of:

Montagna, Steven, Reiwoldt, Armitage, Fisher, Geary and Gilbert.
And Port's form yesterday wasn't impressive, which diminishes the merits of St Kilda's game last week.

Schache can really get on his bike and seems to know when to do it.Pretty sure I saw him on the half back line a few times making tackles, unprecedented for a massive kpf kid like that I'd imagine.

Sign up Squizzy to a long term contract ASAP please - he is becoming a crucial part of our team and a huge crowd favourite!

Love how he continually takes the game on and I think his decision making is getting better too.
Wasn't it great to see that same quick sidestepping and turns used for positive outcomes when he had forwards to kick too. Says so much about his "poor form" last year.

Another positive for me is that we are scoring well so far this year. It will be much easy to see light at the end of the tunnel when we are scoring points. We knew going into the season our backline was pretty weak so that will be a bumpy ride IMO.

He covers a huge amount of ground for a 200cm, 100kg 18 year old. I really couldn't be happier with his first impressions.

Squizzy is the f**king man. Needs to re-sign ASAP. He personifies this attacking game style that will win us games. I am loving the endeavour of the boys right now and am expecting with more gel a couple of decent outcomes. That gel starts with rocky though who is somewhat deplorable at the minute. Understanding that he's match fitness isn't there, I'm drawing correlations to last year when he came back early from rib injuries and played with some mongrel. He is being monstered at every stoppage and needs to lead the way a bit more.
