Several of those were able to play yesterday. Poor form meant that they probably wouldnt have done any better. Weardon, freeman and McStay havent even played a game yet

Agreed. Would be interesting to find out how our season could have gone if we had all those guys back and werent injured.

When we play Carlton, we will get back: Rocky, Mayes, Patfull, McGuire, a fresher Robbo (i consider him one of our best clearance midfielders now)

The year Mayes and Aish are sitting on 100+ games is the year the Lions will rise up the ladder.

A glaring weakness of the Lions since our premiership days has been poor disposal. Selecting Mayes and Aish with our 1st Round picks the past two years will help with that significantly. They both consistently hit their targets and it is great to feel relieved and confident when they have the ball compared to worried when players like Roe and Harding use to have the ball(I liked Roe and Harding).

I'll put on my Nike Air Jordans and my confusingly contradictory outfit of a Charlotte Hornets cap and Shaquille O'Neal Orlando Magic jersey and meet you guys at the park.

I had a Charlotte Hornets starter cap in the mid 90s. I was dope as heck.

I still remember kids getting shit for not having official Starter caps and wearing the KMart knockoffs instead.

A few years later during the Urban Surfer craze, the same kids were copping it for wearing Catchit and Hang Ten shirts instead of Rusty, Quicksilver and T&C. Commercial fashion peaked hard in the 90s.

Thankfully I was absorbed into the "bevan" culture by that stage and all you needed was a smelly, dirty flanny over a Guns n Roses or Metallica shirt with a faded pair of jeans and you were all set. A lot cheaper than being an urban surfer or a Homie-G.

EDIT: Oh, and then there were the skaties with their Vision Street Wear shirts. LOL. What an era.

I have been able to watch every game this year which has been a personal positive for me. Near impossible for the past couple of seasons due to a work/life imbalance. Despite the dismal season I value being able to sit down and watch footy no matter how bad the scoreline is.

I supported the Lions when we were indulged with three consecutive premierships and I'll support them now at their worst. Positive rant over.
