I like where we are going. I've seen glimpses of it throughout the year, with a steady increase as the season has progressed. Curiously, I think we are in for a solid finish to the season. Can't out-coach skill errors.

Trading is where 2016-18 begins.

tom rockliff is on track to beat the record for the most tackles per game in a home and away season ever. current record is held by andrew swallow with 8.3 in 2010. rockliff is averaging 9.2, and only needs to average 7.7 in the remaining games of the year to break the record

That's a great stat - looking at that list of the most tackles in an H&A season he'll come very close to the top 3 if he continues on for the last few games.

Intriguing to see that he's not anywhere on the 'most effective tacklers' list though. Think a few of our players have that issue and its been pointed out that we sometimes struggle to make them stick by some posters on here.

All in all we seem to be a very strong tackling side already which bodes well for the future :thumbsu:

iirc, jack redden was leading the afl tackle count last year for most of the year. he dropped off in the last few rounds and finished 3rd or 4th by a narrow margin. this year redden's tackle count has been down a little, but hes still averaging the 4th most of any player in the comp this year! in rockliff and redden we have 2 of the very best tacklers in the comp.

Our good mate Robbo44's young man has re-signed for 2 years, and Roh-Bew for another one year.

I'm guessing in Roh's case they're going to see how he goes in the wing/HB thing he's doing at the moment and might throw a bigger one at him next year?

I'm rapt to see Roh re-invent himself this year (some sort of irony due to this being his position before he was thrown into our forward line) - his run and carry is excellent.

Super news on Robbo - it means something's going right for the young kids!

Good news and first time I'd heard young Robbo speak. Good kid you have there Robbo44. (Can I send a ten year old over for you to sort out?) ;)

How big is Patrick Wearden, looked a couple of inches talller than Robbo?

Hey Guys!
Great news hey!
Jodie, myself and the boys are really proud of this decision that Mick has made and it's a decision he made himself in negotiations with Jason Dover at Stride Sports Management.
We are 100% behind him in this decision and am so rapt the club have put their faith and support behind Nick and his potential.
Be rest assured he'll pay back this faith for years to come!
It's about now I wish I was over in Brissy now for some celebratory liquid refreshment!!
Go Lions!!!!
