Beams is a steal at twice the price. Will absolutely smash it in at the B&F.

Lester, I was wrong. Sock it to me!

Beams and Martin going to be pretty close for B & F at the moment.

NRobbo will be a player. The improvements in his game since being here are massive. Just needs to clean up his handballing a bit.

Ummmm.... only just a positive but the 86pts scored today was our highest losing score at the Gabba since Rnd16 2012. [also against the saints]

Lester's set shots for goal were fantastic . I loved the way he thought about it and got the angle right on every one.

Good kicking wins games of football these days

Saw a swans supporter comment that they learned that we have actually improved on our position from this time last year. One extra win and our percentage is 15% better. This might just come down to the fact that Port are not the same team as last year and we won instead of losing by 100 but we are looking at positives so we have improved on our slow starts! Would've beaten St Kilda if we had Hanley, Merrett, an inform zorko and if we weren't massacred by injuries in the first half.

Just been thinking about Nick Robertson's goal in the 3rd quarter. He had just done two 150m repeat sprints in a row and butchered his own good work with some messy handballs, but then to do a third long sprint to receive the ball in an attacking position and kick a nice running goal was some of the most intense effort I have ever seen on a football field. That sort of effort is the stuff that is pulled up on a video review for everyone to understand pure gut running.

Absolutely! He went for a rotation right after this and initially got waved back onto the field because someone else had come off. He shot the bench a look like someone had cancelled Christmas and got waved back around. It was really impressive/endearing.

He is a seriously likeable kid who I am completely thrilled to have at the Lions.

Really love what Dayne Beams has brought to the club.
Working hard both on and off the field.
He also seems to be happy .despite our dire circumstances at the moment.
So pleased he is a Lion now.

Similar to Ceebee, I love what Mitch Robinson has brought to the club.
Thought he was going to be the worst pickup since Fev with respect to the potential to cause havoc off-field.
Completely different guy (it seems) to the one we saw portrayed by the media in Melbourne.
Its gotten to the stage, looking from the outside in, that I reckon he's been great for the culture of the club.
I feel watching him run round in a Lions jumper.

Just realised I structured my entire post like Ceebee as well :$

Great minds think alike. :)
I was a bit sceptical about both.really happy now though. Glad we have them.

Have swung around to Mitch, but only 80%. Will see at the end of the year and re-access. He does seem all that has been mentioned here, and definately impressed me last week, so..............

Dayne?.......makes me as happy as a pig in poo that he is with us.

Harris Andrews will be a player, decision making needs to get quicker, but he goes for marks and is really a kid. Huge upside.

N Robbo, yeah a couple of howlers, but ran his guts out especially offensively which made us look dangerous. Really having a crack.

Lester, well I thought he would be off the list at the end of the year, is slowly turning me around. Was a good performance from him, good set shot from 45-50m

First qtr showed if we play quickly we can score and be dangerous, need to be able to attack quickly, the chinese checkers approach does not work for us.

If we were more competitive at clearances we would of won, missing Redden and Merrett down back and Hanley and ...

Randomly spoke to Mitch in the Virgin lounge the other day prior to the Essendon game. Very positive guy, and he admired the effort of our young guys in defence, as they are only in that 20-21 year old bracket.

Top bloke, happy to have him.
