I think he'll end up in the midfield at some point in the future. One particular bit of play in which he knocked a Bulldogs play who was over the ball off his feet and then won it himself really stood out yesterday for me.
Spot on! Gardiner and Harwood in addition, will make that a very uncomfortable back half to encounter.

Here is a 20/20 rearview on why we climbed the ladder in 2016:
  1. Leppas gameplan kicked in with the players confidence gained in Round 23
  2. Craig & Mel Lambert returned
  3. Jonno Freeman kicked 50 goals and won the rising star award from Liam Dawson
  4. Jack Redden & Jed Addcock had their best years with the Club
  5. Stevie Johnson only played 3 games but his premiership experience that he and his other 3 Geelong premiership teammates brought helped in winning their first finals game since 2009
  6. The new training facilities were Opened at Nathan in July
  7. Leigh Matthews became the Chairman
  8. Harris Andrews, became the youngest All Australian
Things to look forward to, Josh Schache has had a great year developing in the NEAFL

Oh Damit! There goes my alarm! Dreaming again (Bookmark it anyway, who knows)

Lions 2nd on the ladder. It's a great day to be a Lion.

For a long time, I have had a dream...a dream where all threads are mostly positive because the team is playing well and progressing, the club is stable, the future looks brighter, the fans happy. A time when a positives thread like this one is a quaint reminder of how we used to be, when there were so few positives that we needed to huddle them together in their own thread, lest they fall and fade away on their own.

But now, finally I think there are the first early signs that we are finding stability, our future looks brighter. It feels like we are a young club, optimistic and, despite the many challenges ahead, excited about the times to come. There are so many positives to come in the years ahead.

There won't be many miracles this season but there will be progress. Some weeks we will seem to take one step forward and two steps back, but slowly and surely, slowly and surely...we are going to get there.

In four or five years this will be the season we will look back on as the one where the ride to the top began.

Not really a positive for us in particular (but could be if you wished), but getting in early and saying Collingwood for bottom 2 :D

With their first round draft pick in the hands of GWS.

Here's a positive (I think?); I suspect the game today will be relatively close, so at the conclusion of this round we should be 15th on the ladder.

This is the highest we've been since Round 1, 2015 (where we sat in 13th for a week before being consigned to the bottom 3).

Other than that Round, we actually haven't gone any higher than 15th since 2013. Here's hoping a flogging is on the cards today!

We'll have far less trouble scoring this year.

We got the most points of any of the losing teams on the weekend. We had the most scored against us but still...100 points is an achievement for us.
