Give the Lydia Lunch & Roland Howard version a listen!
Yes I am familiar with that version. The track is eons ahead of its time. A rare pearl. What mind thinks of these things?
Edit.. it's safe to say I'm getting more pleasure out of my music than my footy atm.

Schache's goals stats in the last 4 weeks are 2, 1, 2, 2 so he has kicked 7 goals in the past 4 games. Good to see him starting to impact the scoreboard. If he can fix up his set shot goal kicking he'll be able to up those tally's to the 2-4 mark as opposed to the 1-2 mark.

If you Brisbane Lions supporters stick with the club you will be awarded with the Fitzroy legends medal.
A silver clasp of a royal Lions with 11 premiership cups. God bless you Sir Dlanod.

Our equal 3rd leading goal kicker and only 3 behind Zorko. Could easily be our leading goal kicker.

Could easily be our leading goal kicker.[/QUOTEOur young ff has been crucified, wheres the game plan to play to his strengths, oh yes they were last addressed in the U18's, don't expect a senior afl coach on mega bucks to think about it, lets just destroy players at the earliest. Your optimism in the game plan is breathtaking.

It's all M&b after (goal kicker.) Hideous emoticon from the 7th level of hell.

I don't know if this has been mentioned already but it's something I personally consider a positive: we are currently ranked 7th in the league for contested ball, but obviously we didn't capitalise on those opportunities inside 50 so, in the words of Danny Daly, "we'll continue to train that this week.." but we've struggled for a long time with contested ball and it's now evident by that stat that it's been a major focus at training and it's good to see we're finally, albeit slowly, improving in that area.

I really like the coaches wrap. Not sugar coating whats going wrong or trying to protect senior players. I like the transparency and it makes me feel like there is good work going on that we simply don't see... until we do see the team doing better. And the displays of team unity (statements, players getting around each other, video clips of players interacting) means that they are handling getting called out, so it must be being done in a way that they find constructive.

I'm comfortable that there are good times ahead. I think after the breathing space and recovery for the young 'uns (<50 games) that is the bye, we will see a more settled approach and better performances. The game speed must have been overwhelming for the newbies - it' not like going from U15 to U17, more like U8 to U17s - so some calm time will be really important to them. And the older players need to develop confidence in the team work and people doing their roles. I am sure they review the games to look at the patterns they all have and build teamwork and confidence from that info.

Remember this is a positives thread - you can't bag me here! And I'm not going to go elsewhere looking for it.

The best thing about the Positives thread is that it is just that - somewhere to go on our Board where our Captain is not getting slagged and posters are demanding that we drop one or more of Hanley, Rich, Rockliff or Merrett - a genuine whipping boy free zone for those who want to try and understand where we are at without the OTP negativity against Leppa, the Club and our players.

After looking at those stats Josh can hold the ball as long as be wants, kick it backwards, sideways, downwards and run around in circles. He can do whatever he wants and I'll say thank u very much as long as he is a Lion for life.

Ps Craig Lambert - we need those stats in an article on the website please. That will shut the booers up.

I thoought it was pretty clear that Schache being booed wasn't personal, everyone loves him, it was because for umpteenth time we had basically stopped moving the ball or gone backwards or sideways. It was the game-style and I think it's ridiculous that it's been framed as "Lions supporters boo Schache" when it was Lions supporters boo lack of movement, game style etc.

Agree however if I was 18 and halfway through my first season it might be a little intimidating and make me second guess myself. And do something silly just to move the ball on. Schache is probably made of much tougher stuff than me so maybe not a problem at all.

From afl.com:

There's some standout stats in the Lions' struggling season, with Josh Green among the league's best in score assists, but the fact they have three players in the upper echelon for spoils shows how under pressure the defence has been. The fact no-one is in the top-50 for effective kicks inside 50 highlights the team's struggles going forward.

Metres gained
Dayne Zorko (436.5m – No.22 in the AFL), Pearce Hanley (411.6m – No.26), Tom Cutler (403.6m – No.32)

Score assists
Josh Green (2.0 – No.3), Ryan Lester (1.5 – No.20), Dayne Zorko (1.3 – No.46).

Scoring chain involvements
Tom Rockliff (6.8 – No.44), Dayne Zorko (6.6 – No.56), Josh Green (6.0 – No.91).

Running bounces
Ryan Bastinac (0.7 – No.51), Tom Cutler (0.7 – No.55), Pearce Hanley (0.5 – No.76).

Spoils
Harris Andrews (9.8 – No.2), Daniel Merrett (7.4 – No.12), Dan McStay (5.4 – No.26).

Intercept marks
Harris Andrews (2.5 – No.12), Dan McStay (1.8 – No.41), Darcy Gardiner (1.1 – No.77).

Effective kicks inside 50
Ryan Bastinac (58% - No.54), Tom Cutler (52% - No.88), Daniel Rich (51% - No.98).

Player Ratings points
Dayne Zorko (15.1 – No.22), Daniel Rich (14.3 – No.30), Ryan Bastinac (13.0 – No.72)

Standout game
Daniel Rich was outstanding in the round nine loss against Melbourne. The left-footed midfielder had 26 touches that included a league-high seven kicks inside forward 50 retained by his team. - Michael Whiting

mighty impressive stats by young harris there, great sign for the future of our defense.
