Whatever is happening inside the 4 walls of the club at the moment.

I don't know what it is, but it's seemingly a very different place to how most perceive it on the outside. There's clearly a unity that flies in the face of how the rest of the footy world sees it.

If they've developed a siege mentality then more power to them. Love a good us vs the world story!

The young players were tremendous today..Janson and Mathieson had huge responsibilities after we lost that key rotation and were terrific...people seem unaware they have played half a dozen games between them.The other young boys were all committed and tried hard and will be great for us.Not one is a dud! We need a second ruckman and a strong key defender. The rest is in the next draft, or already there.Whats needed is player development far in excess and beyond what currently exists in Brisbane. Schache is going to be sensational. You have to be there to see his movement and reading to appreciate the know how.

He was challenged this year. He was on the wire, there was a question as to whether he would make afl standard. He backed himself, to make the grade he put off contract talks to focus on his footy and has had a really solid year. Glad he is staying and glad he is playing good footy.

I think Sam has finally started to emerge from the cloud he played in where he couldn't impact the game or get any consistency. He was one of our best today.

As dark and dire as this season is, there have been good signs from a number of players. Those who I think have shown improvement or young players who have shown they can make the grade with more time:

Mayes
Bewick
Harwood
Lester

Hipwood
Schache
Keays
Mathieson
Jansen

Amid all the doom and gloom there remains hope for the future.

We're only 2 players away from what will be an elite spine, there's no doubt that Schache, Hipwood and Andrews will make it, so if Hipwood stays forward we'll need another monster KPD (and viceversa if he ends up playing back) and also a ruckman obviously. Here's hoping that the last KPP is already on our list eg Skinner, Hammertime etc. Not too sure about the Rucking situation though.
