Clugga, Berry, Withers and Cox looks at this stage to be a handsome haul of talent.
We're probably going to end up with similar pick numbers in the 2017 Draft so let's hope we can nail those too. If we do, we should be doing some serious contending within 2-5 years.![]()
As you said early days only time will tell. Think the draft will be a gem not just for usEarly days yet, but normally you can look back over the previous draft and think, geez he was available at our pick x, let one slip there, wish we grabbed him instead.
Can honestly say I wouldn't change any of our selections at all, without any bias. I think a lot of us would feel the same, that some type of achievement by our recruiters.

I agree......and I really don't care about the GH5 and Aish anymore. Though it stuffed the club around and set us back, it has worked out for the best.
We don't need them, what we have now is far superior to that lot.
All I will say to the GH5 is "Tough luck fellas, you made your bed, now lay in it"
Ruck forwardWe are stacked for key forwards for the next 10 years. Ballenden will be interesting come draft time, do we view him as a key forward or a key back? Love the idea of taking him as a backman with his exceptional ball use by foot.
Keep stocking up on quality midfielders and a couple of genuine small forwards and our list is set.

I personally don't think they'd care a great deal. As per the name, these boys left because they were home sick and our club environment wasn't inducive of the right care and support for interstate draftees.
If you went back and asked each, they'd have no regrets even if the Lions end up having success.
The sooner we forget and seldom mention the GH5, the better. We have nothing to prove to any of the 5.
Been there a few times, going to Southern Attitude this Thursday night, don't dare look at me MS if your walking past. Was walking home from a couple of beers with a mate on Oxford Street tonight, when I walked past La Quinta and happened to lock eyes with Old Man Fagan while he tucked into his tacos. His face said "Please don't look at me while I'm eating dinner", but his eyes said "Seriously, **** off mate".
Lucky enough to live around the corner from Oxford Street (surprisingly cheap rental) and I still haven't been to Southern Attitude. Would you recommend?Been there a few times, going to Southern Attitude this Thursday night, don't dare look at me MS if your walking past.I'll be the bald tall skinny one with the Lions polo on eating a huge steak burger and drinking my customary fantastically done milkshake.
Brilliant.Lucky enough to live around the corner from Oxford Street (surprisingly cheap rental) and I still haven't been to Southern Attitude. Would you recommend?
Yeah it's great, we got really lucky being able to rent a house for only $390 a week here. Nice parks, close to the Brisbane river, the old cinemas for $6-$8. And I get the occasional spotting of Harris or Berry down at Woolies hahaBrilliant.
We have lived on acreage for the last 25 years and we are in the process of deciding whether to down size to an apartment lifestyle, if we do we will be looking to rent for 6 months to assess whether we like it or not. You never know we could be neighbors in the not too distant future. Love the Bulimba/Hawthorn/Balmoral area.
Bit late but he's one of three with the first six (Toby Greene and Ed Curnow). No one has ever made seven.Last week I remember reading a stat that Witherden was only the 14th player in VFL/AFL history to play his first 4 games all with 20+ disposals.
I'd assume his 5th game in a row with 20+ disposals has narrowed it down even more.
Regardless, if I described the way he has performed in his first 5 weeks to you all 6 weeks ago you'd have assumed it was some sick fantasy, but no, it's real.
Our 2016 draft will be looked back on as a huge one I think. Love all 4 of our picks.
Taylor has a long way to go before he's the best small in the league. Has shown good potential but really.... not in the top half at the moment.Soon enough it'll be a great thing. Who needs Yeo when we have the best small in the league with Squizzy.
