At one stage, Hodge came off the ground instead of going straight to the bench, he went and talked to the emergency umpire for about a minute...he was very animated ...The umpire nodded his head in agreement with what Hoge had to say....Be interested to know what he was saying..

I don’t think it was a nod of agreement. Those kind of nods are more of a ‘you got unlucky’ kind of nod. Also, the call seemed correct anyway, he clearly hit the ball over to the boundary without the intent to actually stop it. The umpire just let Hodge say what he wanted and then let him leave.
