Hughes, Balic, Weller and Blakely smashed it.

Langdon will be a weapon if he cleans up his kicking.

McCarthy and Kersten kicked 5 between them. They're getting better as a unit every week.

We have Logue, Collins and Hamling to hold down the defense.

    We'll be alright.

McCarthy kicked 3 1st half goals. Kersten got a couple.

This time last year Freo were 0-6. In 2017, freo have 3 wins from 6 games without a 34 year old Pavlich, 31 year old dawson and a 31 year old Danyle Pearce

McCarthy is working into form nicely.

    Hughes was fantastic.
Strong in the contest, sure with the ball.
    Balic showing a bit more.

    Didn't mind Kersten
The goal he got on McGovern made McGovern look silly when he needs to be accountable, and showed very smart forward craft: Constant movement, twists back on him self and then a lead to the space in the pocket.

Conor Blakely has improved each game and I thought he was outstanding. kept spewy quiet early while getting ball then got moved into a loose tag on Mitchell it looked like and racked up plenty of ball

It was glad to see the commetators mention and highlight lachie weller chase on josh hill in the 3rd the game was over by then but it was good to see that the young guys have that defensive work rate.

Also connor blakely is getting better by the week and seems to have fixed his disposal as well as getting a lot of it and is slowly getting his body hardened to handle the inside grunt work in the midfield.

Block 108 as loud as any
Blakely, Weller, Hughes, Balic - all improving

Kersten and McCarthy got involved on the scoreboard pretty nicely

After 1/4 time it was 9 goals to 8 the Eagles way - so after a shocking first quarter we held our own okay I thought

Blakely was very good. The three amigos, despite some of their flaws last night are building very nicely and probably were our better players.

Blakely, hughes, Balic, McCarthy & Kersten showing good signs.
Can see Blakely and Balic being major ball magnets for the club.
Hopefully Hughes can turn into a defender who can play 3rd tall play big & small and not get out muscled by the Darlings & Stringers of the competition. Fingers crossed.

After taking care of the Bombers this week we just need GWS to knock off the Saints & the Hawks to beat the Dees to get us in the 8. Don't think anyone would of predicted that after the Port game.

Never thought I would find myself barracking for the Hawks either. Carn the Hawks!

It only took the Hawks to have one good flogging at Launceston and I'm over my pent up hatred/angst/phobia with them. Initially I was a bit annoyed that someone else had the fun of smashing them there - but then I realised that I was happier that we weren't playing any game at Launceston.

    On board the Cam train
There was a couple of times in the last quarter at the center bounce where Fyfe gave it to Neale who then turned outside and got it to Brad Hill. I want more of that- especially when Stephen is back in.

Something supporters might find surprising considering the turnovers we make with serial offenders like Ibbo and Sutty etc ,we are actually the number one team in the comp for disposal efficiency(75.6%) according to the AFL stats. Ahead of all teams including our down town rivals ( 7th position) who i would have thought were more efficient in their disposal.

Probably because B. Hill gets himself into so much space even our worst offenders can't miss him with a kick.

No roos or dunstall commenting they would of been intolerable with their criticism in every mistakes we made trough the game. If any one watched the bulldogs/saints game roos went on and on and on about every saints mistakes.

And still in the eight and a game clear.

Tucker is a mid (as i've said ad nauseum). Shows signs of a Mundy-esq ability to move sideways and turn in heavy traffic. Has a composed leg.

Please let's not try to turn this one into a HBF-er and ruin him.
